Tsk tsk... you didn't even read my reply that triggered you so bad. If you had, you would already know the answer to your guess.

The example with my back is Dalio's suggestion on triangulation. You should find multiple, believable people to get their opinion on an important matter, then decide who is right. If you give up full control of your life to the first authority, you may not get the most desirable outcomes in life.

You didn't really say much in your reply besides the sarcastic "you know me so well." I did two things with my reply that I think got to you: 1) I tried to tone match your original post 2) I used reflection to turn your accusations back around on you So in essence, I think your response shows...

I still think everyone should question everything. When I was 19, I blew out the L4-L5 disc in my back resulting in half a decade of brutal pain. I ended up getting back surgery, but I didn't choose the first surgeon I met. If I had listened to him, my physician, and physical therapist, I would...

OP's post reached epic levels of cognitive dissonance. Person that doesn't believe we went to the moon questioned their belief we went to the moon... OP believes we went to the moon. Never questioned their belief. The freaking President of the United Freaking States of America questioned the...

    Audiobooks - Reclaiming your time

    NOTABLE!
I feel like focus and focal points are things that we train our brain to do. Watching Game of Thrones with groups of friends, I'm surprised at just how many people when watching the show in a dedicated environment, wander off into their own thoughts. In this last episode, we had to rewind...

    Audiobooks - Reclaiming your time

Most of the fortune 500 CEOs read about 60 books a year. A little more than one a week. The only work related book I've read that is dense is Principles by Ray Dalio. I've read a lot of books on leadership and most of them could have been summed up by a blog post. I am also a software engineer...

    Audiobooks - Reclaiming your time

    NOTABLE!
I never blinked at the price, but I've found that I can never convince anyone to pay for books. I have a couple friends who always pull the "lucky" card on me and ask me how to improve their lives, I always tell them to read through audiobooks. They always say they have no time and I am always...

His book is Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if your life depends on it. I had it suggested by someone at work while dealing with a challenging person who continually posed me with lose lose situations. Honestly, I think if Voss had to argue with that guy, all the hostages would die...

    Audiobooks - Reclaiming your time

I hit pause on my headphones and use the Audible app to take a note at that spot. If the book is dense enough to warrant a kindle copy, I often review the notes and find them in text to reread the passages. Mindset, Principles, and TMF as several books I have audio and text with notes in both.

My eyes aren't the greatest, so I have a hard time reading. I also recently found out while being a test subject during some visual tracking software, that my eye movement patterns match that of someone with dyslexia. That didn't stop me from physically reading a book a week for nearly 8 years...

Have you played Rocket League on Casual or Steep? Pick any spot in Steep and the playing is on autopilot. Plenty of mental space to focus on something else. Try listening at 1x speed. I can't pay attention. It's like listening to George Bush give a speech. I forget what they're talking about...

You are not alone. I can only do the first 20 minutes of a cardio session or incline walking on a treadmill after the workout. Hitting high intensity cardio or lefting I space out. Plus, I feel like good, powerful music helps you push harder when it counts.
