After publishing my initial book on amazon, I got a ton of great feedback from the members here and one of the comments were that I should write what people want first. So my second project is starting out pretty good so far. My process so far is: Find out what the niche is that I want to...

"I don't know what product to sell" How You Choose A Product-Based Business

    NOTABLE!
I absolutely love your answer @biophase. I would also maybe add that the book by simon sinek "start with why" is an excellent reference on why you should start with the "Why" question. Simon Sinek - Start with why

What if the supplier dashes away with my idea?

    IDEA
I think it's unlikely to happen, but definitely possible. I guess if it's a physical product, then patenting is the first place to start. There are also other avenues that you can use to minimize risks, like NDA's, Non-Competes etc. But nothing beats a patent.

Is Chinese Cheap Labor a Myth?

    HOT!
Interestingly enough, Tesla replaced some of it's robots with manual laborers in order to meet the manufacturing quota for the Model 3. Robots will always be better at doing some repetitive jobs. Car manufacturing plants used to use manual labor in the early 20th century, nowadays, you'd be hard...

Is it ethical to copy a business?

Copying is fine, for example: Apple vs Dell vs Compaq etc. Xero vs MYOB. That's how competition is born. However, customers are smart and they usually go for the company that can offer better value.

Why do you guys say that learning and books in general are useless? (STRAWMAN)

Knowledge isn't power, it's potential power. It only becomes powerful when you actually use the knowledge that you've read. Over 90% of billionaires in the world reads one or more books every week.

You're absolutely right @Boychamp. This was my toe-dipping experience with writing an ebook, and I still have a lot to learn and i can definitely see why nicheing down is the better route. I have gotten so much valuable information from this thread and i'll definitely use it on my next project.

@Josephseal, haha me too. however, you have the choice of whether you want to go with a nigerian or not. Plus you don't have to hire immediately, you can interview them beforehand and you pay the freelancer through the site and you only have to release the funds once you're happy with the work.

Writing my first Non Fiction eBook

I've also released a book and learned a lot in the process. Haven't made anywhere close to FU money. I've only had 4 sales in 4 days. Not bad, but would've like more. Here are the things that I've learned and should improve on. * Don't write non-fiction. Rather focus on the best selling...

Absolutely. This is one of the things I've learned from publishing my book. I actually didn't know that you can pre-sell your work with amazon. Now that I know that it's an option, i'm definitely going to do a pre-launch.

It's geared towards anyone who is already in freelancing or thinking of getting into it. I'm guessing someone who is having money problems or looking at getting more money. Good suggestion! I have a few already in mind. Regionally? You mean per state? Per country? I've contacted one site...
