Bit of a mixed bag lately. The not so good: Lost most of a week in bed with a virus, then had some cardio weirdness that required a night in hospital for observation (it turned out OK). I decided to resign from my job as I think it has been impacting my health. I can't physically manage it...

Partway through the Make.com 'intermediate' training - it's larger and exponentially more difficult than the 'basics' one but I can see how it can be applied to client needs. I'm guessing in about 2 weeks I'd be capable of building stuff that would actually sell. I'm experimenting with using...

Making progress. This 'think direction rather than destination' is working for me and I've had some good consistency in just showing up for the work. Make.com has inbuilt training - I've finished the 'basics' level. I'm now understanding some of the business automations the YouTube guy is...

Good point @wahiemukesh. I am working on my health, including the mental side. Working on this new direction is making me feel better. I'm going to be careful not to overdo it. The trained ChatGPT is great. It's drawn together a lot of info that was spread out over many videos. The guy's...

So, I had more cardio 'events'. Must admit I went into a mental funk, which is unusual for me as I'd been doing everything 'right'. Got my license back and went for a drive yesterday. It felt so good. Anyway, enough about health except to say I'm working on it. Wasn't sure if I should come back...

Hey Andy, I really appreciate your comments. And yep, you're spot on that there's a risk I could just passively 'learn' (consume) rather than have real learning from action. I've given myself a time budget to review online material and decide on a path of action, that has to wrap up in 2 more...

Goal progress: * Fix up room for office (DONE) * Get treadmill for standing desk (DONE) * Research med tests (DONE - found a place that does full body MRI etc. It's expensive so that is another motivator) * Loose weight (DONE: total 1.2 kg lost. Desired cumulative total 6 kg) New goals: *...

After this post I'll be more business focussed. But to wrap up the health side, after the heart attack, I had a stroke. How, given the blood thinners I'm on, I don't know (but it's interesting that both my brother, who died at 53 from a alcohol-related heart attack, and me were c*vid vaxed)...

    NOTABLE!
Yes, a Chilisleep (now called sleepme). It is a game changer. A few things to be aware of: it'll make the room warmer, as the heat has to go somewhere, so make sure you've got good air circulation to get rid of it. Also while quite quiet, it might still take some time to get used to the noise.

True. Until last year I worked in Melb in education. Upper management was so woke they were living in an alternate reality. I decided I couldn't morally continue in that field if they expected me to pump that into young adults.

Home sweet home. Initial health action: Got a blood pressure monitor with ECG checker - will check each morning & evening. I want to know what's going on under the hood. Ordered a smart watch with heart rate & blood pressure sensor. Thinking about getting one of those ring things too, perhaps...

Thanks MJ. Agree totally: health is the foundation of everything. I thought I was healthy (6 ft, 177 lbs, careful with my diet, hadn't drunk for ~2 years, non-smoker). I found out my mother's side (which I haven't had much contact with) has many cases of fatal heart attacks in their early 60's...

Thanks so much, folks. Good suggestion. My job can be stressful so I'm moving away from that, but some parts of the skillset might be applicable to something else. On the other hand, I kinda like the idea of learning something really new as I'd stopped growing in my job a while ago. I'll keep...
