ROBS: Rollover for business start ups - what's your experience?

    QUESTION
Thanks, MJ! I heard about it while brainstorming with ChatGPT, then found a few articles using Perplexity. It doesn't seem to get talked about a lot, and given the lack of chatter on this thread, it seems that not many have used it. I was looking for more of anyone's personal experience using...

ROBS: Rollover for business start ups - what's your experience?

    QUESTION
I can't believe I found a topic that only has one post on this forum! Usually there's dozens and dozens of answers to read . . . Seeing as how it was several years ago and didn't get much traction to begin with, I'd like to ask the question again: TL;DR: What has been your positive/negative...

Documenting a Lifetime Journey working on a Youtube Podcast

    EXECUTION FEEDBACK
Do not count on linear growth when it comes to content creation, especially podcasts. Chart of my monthly downloads for almost 3 years:

I started a premium flash cards biz for fun (and maybe profit)

    IDEA SIDE HUSTLE EXECUTION FEEDBACK
What about a Millionaire Fastlane podcast? I love the email newsletter and the forum, but I'd love to listen on the go and get MJ's ideas into my ears! BTW, my teenage daughter's summer project was to read TMF, write a book report, and then present what she learned to the family. She loved it!

    Podcast Thoughts & Insights

    SIDE HUSTLE
Most podcasts die before 10 episodes. People launch, do 2 or 3 episodes, and then they lose interest. My longest running podcast has been going for about 2.5 years. Here's a few things I would recommend before you get started: Ask yourself if you are in it for the long haul. Podcasting is...

I was going to recommend riverside or streamyard; you seem to have found it! Plus, if you need an excellent tool for building a custom website for your podcast in less than 5 minutes, I just used Podpage.

I started a premium flash cards biz for fun (and maybe profit)

    IDEA SIDE HUSTLE EXECUTION FEEDBACK
I was able to sell ~$400 worth of activities cards for dads + kids that I listed for $30. People will pay it, but ultimately my product didn't solve a big enough pain point for people. The other side is, (assuming the licensing and copyright stuff is figured out), you have to think about the...

Don't Let the Fastlane Devolve Into Side Hustles

    RANT
This post and thread really landed with me. For the past few years I've attempted different businesses that at best become side hustles that don't really generate profit. Yes, they are disconnected from my time, but I think the biggest problem is not hitting all the key points of the CENTS...

I just got laid off. My e-commerce business has had 0 sales. Get another temporary job or go full force?

    FTE EXECUTION
Thanks for the advice here. The plan now is to pick up another job until the sales get to a place to sustain my lifestyle. The plan always was to build it up and quit within 18 months. For the couple of weeks where I'm in-between I'll pursue the business like crazy. Thanks again for your thoughts.

I just got laid off. My e-commerce business has had 0 sales. Get another temporary job or go full force?

    FTE EXECUTION
I have really valued this forum since I found it 1-2 months ago. In the last 6 weeks I've started an e-commerce business selling proprietary products. I built a website, launched some landing pages, started building an email list, started growing social media following, opened an online store. I...

Hi! I’m trying my best to juggle my fulltime day job with starting ecommerce business

    INTRO
No pre-orders as of yet... still working on getting that first sale! My time is pretty structured as it is, so I'm able to squeeze out 30-40 hours a week so far. Room to optimize for sure!

Hi! I’m trying my best to juggle my fulltime day job with starting ecommerce business

    INTRO
Hi Tina! I also am a product manager at a software company, but moonlight as an e-commerce entrepreneur. No sales yet, but I have a site up for pre-orders and prototypes of my first product coming. For me it’s been a lot of nights, weekends, early mornings, and getting the day job done as...

    Essential lessons for young children...

    HOT! IDEA
+1 on growth mindset. My biggest thing with my four kids (5-12) is self responsibility first. Clearly that’s not the only lesson, but to me it’s the foundation of a meaningful and flourishing life.

    Jigsaw Manufacture

    IDEA
I just put in a prototype order with boardgamesmaker.com. They may possibly be able to do jig saw puzzles. If not you can do some internet searching for another manufacturer.

The log in couldn't wait until the end of The Book

    INTRO
I felt exactly the same way when I was half way through and after finishing TMF. I'm channeling all of that into a fire to build my first e-commerce business focused on dads. It'll be the first money system I own, and I'm going to build it up, quit the job, make mistakes, learn, and keep going...
