Developer turned founder, freezing on the marketing/sales side. How did you overcome it?

    MINDSET EXECUTION
Have you thought about partnering with someone that is good at sales? I'm also a developer, and I found success partnering with sales people, people that already had an audience and field of expertise. I have two successful saas apps now, with a third on the way.

Everything is clear now: Why I'm Building my First SaaS (Progress Thread)

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
I think about performance from the very beginning. And it isn't that tough once you get the hang of it. You'll see the biggest return on just avoiding silly mistakes: * Backend: N+1 queries * Backend: doing too much work before you return your view * Frontend: Creating too many event listeners...

From Laid off to CEO: Building a Multi-Million Dollar Software Company [Progress Thread]

    HOT! EXECUTION
It's a tough gig. I have vivid memories of getting started at 5am when it's cold and dark out. You also tend to be surrounded by less-ambitious people. You won't be there long, brother. You got this.

Years ago, I also took a gig with FedEx, loading trucks early in the morning. You'll definitely keep in shape. It's good to hear you got something. I think the physical labor will keep your mind sharp for more knowledge work after your shift. Have you checked out the Work With Indies Discord...

Everything is clear now: Why I'm Building my First SaaS (Progress Thread)

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
They do look similar! After using this approach, I don't think I could ever go back to using React or Vue. Before using SSE, though, I used Inertia, and that was pretty excellent, too. Thanks. I've been working with various startups, large and small, since 2015, and I freelanced a lot doing...

Thanks. I'll be sure to check out that thread. > I'm assuming you're using Livewire or Vue.js with Inertia? Nope. Though I've used Vue and React w/ Inertia a fair amount, over the last year I've preferred to build using SSE with Datastar. My first SaaS was built with Vue2, but I'm updating...

    SaaS progress: Until I succeed

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
Stellar progress! Seeing those subscribers roll in is certainly addictive. I'm glad you've decided to come back and revive this thread. I'd love to hear how you're approaching design. I've been leaning into this myself this past year after many years of just writing code and implementing the...

Everything is clear now: Why I'm Building my First SaaS (Progress Thread)

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
I'm looking forward to reading more. I've got several saas under my belt, 2 of which I own and operate solo. There are so many moving parts, it's tough to get it all working smoothly. Congrats for getting this far! My biggest learning this year was the importance of starting with a clear...

I just want to congratulate you on the hustle and making it this far. I feel you -- I understand the gamedev market has always been hard, so it isn't surprising to hear of your struggles. Could you link your game(s), socials, and outline your dev experience here? If you're on X, I'll reshare...

[PROGRESS THREAD] (24 y/o) Sick and cognitively impaired for 2 years... Doing the work anyway

    HOT! EXECUTION
That's awful. No doubt that has had a big impact on your health. There's no easy way to deal with this, but if you're going to be of any use to yourself or even your mom when she comes out of this, you'll have to take care of yourself first, right? I'll be sure to pray for your family.

Great thread. Your timing is perfect. I've been dealing with something very similar, and like you, I have a tough time working for extended periods. I hope you recover fully, but it's good that you aren't letting the setbacks keep you back. I'll keep this thread bookmarked to remind me to keep...

    EXECUTION
Update: My ugly landing page somehow convinced 8 people to sign up to my email list. I noticed my site bounce rate was pretty high, so I splurged on a commercial WordPress theme from Thrive Themes. Bounce rate dropped a good deal, and I think it will be worth the investment as I drive more...
