Knowledge is NOT power, Applied Knowledge IS power

You could have all the knowledge in the world, but if you never apply that knowledge it is worthless. Now lets say you had 1% of the knowledge of the world, and you applied it every day. . .Well lets just say your going places.

Knowledge comes to you the more you work in a particular field/area. So, if you want to create a successful blog then you have to start one and learn more about what it takes to have a successful blog by analyzing other successful blogs and copying and improving upon what they've done. My recipe for success is. Your percentages might be different but I think these are the three core things that it takes to be successful:

80% - Hard work (Knowledge comes from this)
10% - Creativity (Some people have it, some don't)
10% - Luck (Sometimes you just get lucky but being prepared helps you take advantage of this luck.)

You make a very valid point Bateati. We have been drilled in school that knowledge is power for years. I have learned that a lot of things taught in school is misinforming, and meant to get you to be much like worker ant.(Do what you are told and don't question it) I have also met many knowledgeable people that have no initiative put any of their knowledge to work. They just work normal jobs, living paycheck to paycheck. Thanks for posting a great topic.

Just KNOWING about something is not where the power comes.

It's DOING SOMETHING w/the knowledge that brings the power.

(but you've gotta have the knowledge part to be able to do something w/it)

I make more money by knowing more about the area I invest in than other people. Knowledge most certainly is power. I love it when people are like how the heck did you do that, how did you get a house in their?

Of course it needs to be backed up with action.
