Any merchant accounts without discount rates?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I am looking for a merchant account provider that does not charge a discount rate. Does anyone here know if such a company exists? I am looking to collect payments in the 800-1000 dollar range and the typical discount rate of 1.5% to 2% would wipe out my profit on those transactions. Example: I...

19 Years old: First RE Deal done

    REAL ESTATE
Not sure how the SAFE ACT will effect your operations in IA, but you might want to look into it. Word is that this piece of legislation will be the death of lonnie deals by requiring anyone holding note on a residential property to be a licensed MTG. lender. Congrats btw.

    Sweepstakes business idea

    IDEA
It appears that I can not hold a sweepstakes if I require purchase to enter. I will have to find a way to turn this idea into a contest of some sort...

    Sweepstakes business idea

    IDEA
I am not concerned with what happens to the bumper stickers. They can toss them for all I care. I have to sell something, and what is more inexpensive to buy in bulk than a bumper sticker that could also potentially serve as advertisement? Its not like I am trying to get people to buy a bumper...

    Chicago vs. Oklahoma City

    REAL ESTATE
It's time for me to get out of Chicago. I've had enough of the taxes, crime, politics, weather, etc... From what I've read online, Oklahoma City, Ok seems like the place for me. Great "small town lifestyle" in a more developed urban setting. Rapid growth in population, development, and...

My plan for life (as of now)

I know how important it is to have a detailed life plan laid out early on, especially during the late teens-early twenties when it is so easy to get distracted. So congrats, it is the first and most important step to making something of yourself. I would have to echo kurtyordy's first...

    Software recommendations for property finances

Phlgirl, thanks for confirming that QB would replace the need for excel. I am really not that good with computer stuff and I get confused with all these different programs sometimes. I will most likely take a course at the local CC along with doing some reading on my own.

    Software recommendations for property finances

    REAL ESTATE
Thanks for the reply, I'm not too familiar with software like QuickBooks yet but would it replace the need for excel or would the two be used together? I'm going to go with quickbooks and pick up a few books on how to use it for property management.

Hey guys, I'm about to close on my second multi-unit property. Up till now I have just been keeping track of finances for my 2-unit on paper and a very basic microsoft works spreadsheet layout. Now that I will be keeping after 6 units I would like to keep a more detailed account of each...

Working a deal with selling agent

    REAL ESTATE
Have any of you ever done this and would I run into any legal issues... I am looking around at some 10+ unit properties. I would like to work with the selling agent and offer to split their 6% commision, 4% to them and 2% to me. Would this be an appealing offer? Figure that they don't have...
