So you want to move to Scottsdale?

    MEETUPS
As someone who has been living in Gilbert for the past year+, it really is a great place. Gilbert specifically has it going on, the Heritage District is booming, and the city is just planned out well. Personally I live in the northern part so I am 20-30 minutes from Scottsdale/downtown which is...

Moved to Scottsdale, Growing a Web Design Firm

    GOLD!
Not much of a hiker myself so I can’t say. I just take it in wherever I am. With that said, any elevation gain here will make it that much better.

Moved to Scottsdale, Growing a Web Design Firm

    GOLD!
@GuitarManDan Arizona heat can be brutal - and so can the cold - but the one consistently amazing time here is sunset/sunrise. It's beautiful out during these times and honestly is the best time to be outside. Personally I try not to miss a sunset any time during the year and get up for the...

How to Mentally Approach Surgical Recovery?

    HEALTH
Thanks for all the insight from everyone! I have my mom flying out for a week+ around the time so I'll have some full time hands to help for at least the first week. Also going to start making some plans like you advise - haven't done that yet. Good advice on the pain meds. I know well how...

How to Mentally Approach Surgical Recovery?

    HEALTH
In roughly two weeks I head in to have an intestinal hernia repaired (just above the belly button kind). It's a surgery I am having by choice, and it's my first major surgery. The doc has warned me that things are going to be very, very painful for one to two weeks after the procedure. I'll be...

What has helped your seasonal depression SAD?INDOOR TANNING???

    HEALTH
I suffered from this and honestly I can say vitamin d, good lighting, going outside etc - none of it worked. My experience was that all of these were band aids on a broken leg. Moved to Arizona and the overall quality of my life shot through the roof. Been here for many years and never looked back.

    Fastlane or Unscripted? Which first?

    HOT!
If you're only committing to read one, go Unscripted. If you're going to read both, then Fastlane first, Unscripted second. I say this because I feel like TMF is a book that can be read and consumed much like a movie - from start to finish. If I re-read it, its from start to finish again...

    What's your Infinity Project?

No question that my infinity project is health. It's such a key component to our lives and it's often overlooked. My good health is the thing I am most grateful for and as I age (nearly 30) it's something that I know will only continue to grow to require more attention. For me, this isn't...

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
I am solar powered. Sunny, warm climates support my immune system and overall agree with my physical makeup. I am happier and healthier because of this. I grew up in a cold, dark climate that knocked me down. Moving to the sun is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

    Scottsdale Meetup March 1st

    MEETUPS
I am in the area and would love to meet up (wasn't at the summit). I can actually make that day - but it sounds like most others can't. Assuming this doesn't happen, keep me in mind for the next one if you will!

    Hardest Skill to Master??

Quoting this not as an expert in the field, but as a peer with the same issue. I've found what works best is trying to create a clear separation between work and leisure so they don't 'smudge' together. When they do, I've found its prime action faking time. By keeping work separate and always...

What kind of mattress do you own?

    OFF-TOPIC
My wife and I bought a tuft and needle (same concept as lisa, purple, casper etc) bed in a box, it was super easy, just unroll open and it pops into shape. been a year+ on it and no complaints.

Mark Manson's "Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck"

    BOOKS
I enjoy some of Mark Manson's stuff. This post specifically helped me when I was down last year and was looking for some direction: 7 Strange Questions That Help You Find Your Life Purpose The bit on 'what type of s**t sandwhich' really resonated.

The Official 2018 Fastlane Summit Event Thread

    MEETUPS
I visited during the 'meet and greet' event by invitation from @eliquid on the sunday night and all I can say is that next year I will be there as long as I can get a ticket! Feel super lucky to have this event right here in my backyard and while I can't speak to the summit - everyone I met in...

    Hello!

    INTRO
Hello Fastlaners! I first read TMF in 2015 and am currently about half way through unscripted. I've taken so much from these books that I wanted to come here and join a community of like-minded individuals. I've never been able to find the right label for what I do. Not an 'internet marketer'...

    I've Read The Millionaire Fastlane!

    GOLD! HOT!
I read TMF for the first time back in 2015. The end of the book MJ gave his email. I just looked back to the thank you I sent him and the response he gave in April of that year. The book changed the way I look at the world and getting a response from the author was a big, positive, surprise!
