Discipline is what bridges the two.

Good sleep, diet, and exercise fuel the period until something kicks me off the rails. I've extended the period through tactical environment resets (moving to a different city temporarily and having to rebuild my routine) but you constantly need to be vigilant and keep yourself engaged and following your plan.
