based from your many years of experience on the internet which of this domain is more appropriate?

this is for offline business.

whiteelephant.com or whitelephant.com? which one is better?

a shared alphabet or a separate ones? I don't like "-"

I'd go with WhiteElephant, if you absolutely have to. But also get the other domain and redirect it to the real one in case of someone spelling it wrong

People tend to type urls based on how it sounds, so if a potential customer has the intentions of going to your company's website, "White Elephant", 9/10 times they are going to type WhiteEleplants.com ... Just be sure to always capitalize the "E" in Elephants to separate the two words for better understanding and clarification.
Like, Gsuz mentioned, I'd get both domains and redirect traffic from one to the other. If you still aren't convinced simply purchase both and run a test to see which one gained more traffic. That one will be the winner.
