Where do you extract business profiles with contact info for marketing? Free resources?

Hi,

I've been purchasing data from the large (mostly shady) providers like Exact Data for about 5 years. The cost per contact is around 5 cents there.

Sellypro.com is a public site I've put together where I expose 3M contacts with direct phone, email and LinkedIn profile. This is free, ad-supported.

Can we discuss other sources of free data? I'd like to keep this repository somewhat up to date and provide a decent free service.

Look up A-Z databases. You can get them for free with many library cards.

on the flip side ...... if you have the money, what options would the forum recommend?
if you need to find vetted companies in specified sectors of specific sizes ...... what services / lists / companies do we hire to purchase those lists and find those companies??

I use the SalesQL extension for Linkedin profiles. It gets you 50-200 free credits and shows all email addresses. To recharge, you either pay or sign up with another email.
