I need some help on a personal development. I just passed my boards and I'm currently a certified physician assistant. The plan is to join the Air Force for a few years build some wealth and make some investments. My first problem is that it will take some time to get the Air Force application done and I won't start til probably the end of this year or beginning of next year. In the time that I have waiting for the application I a want to do some temp (locum) work. This will be as a independent contractor working for an agency that will line up the jobs across the country. My biggest business concern is what type of corporation should I use. I was thinking of a LLC filed as a S-corp. Let me know what you think. Should I just do S-corp? Should I do an LLC and then put my independent contractor underneath that LLC so I have the main entity available to create subgroups of other investements in the future. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
P.S. I can also offer my medical opinion if anybody needs it, under the understanding it is not me treating you, just giving you my opinion.
