What should I present at a Wordcamp?

I've been invited to pitch a 30 minute presentation or workshop for an upcoming Wordcamp in Dublin.

I've never been to a Wordcamp, and initially dismissed it out of hand since developers aren't really my market.

However, I know one of the co-hosts and we met for a coffee last week.

He really liked the idea of a presentation explaining how to use AdWords paid search on a whiff of spend to get real-time market research (aka "validate" your idea and get some initial visitors, leads, and enquiries - or in my lingo: "find out what people want, then sell/give it to them").

If not that subject, what subject do you think might appeal to (and help) Wordcamp attendees?

Apparently there's a technical "stream" and a business "stream". Two presentations going on in parrallel and people can choose which presentation to goto. Maybe 100-150 capacity in each room.

Who attends Wordcamps anyway?
  • Are they freelancer developers (I guess so)
  • Marketing agency owners? (I guess not.)
  • Small local business owners (I guess not.)
  • ??

BTW... if I do actually present then it'll get recorded and end up on Wordcamp TV or something so I can link you all to it.

If I don't present it, then maybe I'll do a screenshare version of that presentation and drop it into the forum. Let me know if you'd be interested.

EDIT: It looks like this is the Wordcamp:

EDIT2: I've decided not to present. It would be fun, and would help people, but it's a weekend day and 30km away in Dublin. If it was an evening in my home town then fine, but it isn't.
