Leadership has been crucially important in my biz ever since COVID hit us, so I'm curious what your favorite leadership books are! I'd love to hear a few recommendations and hopefully find a book I haven't read on this topic yet.

Simon Sinek - Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action : In my opinion purpose is one of the most important aspects of a powerful, motivating, driven, and successful individual / business which spreads through those they lead. His book facilitates around being purpose centered & initiating ACTION in others .

BOOK REVIEW: Start With Why by Simon Sinek - Roseanna Sunley Business Book Reviews

His Ted talk is worthy of your attention & covers most of the points in the book

-Winning- Jack Welch
-Some of the Simon Sinek stuff works pretty well here too: Leaders Eat Last, Start With Why, The Infinite Game. Look past the SJW crap.
-Extreme Ownership- Jocko
-How to win friends and influence people. Carnige.
-John C Maxwell built an entire career on pretty high quality leadership media
-Influence from Caldini

Beyond that, I think a lot of the biographical stories of the greats are even more fun.

Good Profit - Charles Koch

How did you miss this one @Kak?

More of a Austrian theory book than a leadership one IMO

Fantastic book nonetheless.

As long as we are on Charles Koch... Science of Success is good too.

I haven’t read a business book in a while but I do like:

1. Hot to get rich by Felix Dennis
2. Principles by ray dalio
3. The 7 habits of highly effective people

But these days I’m just reading stuff on contemporary philosophy in art, film and logic.

But speaking of books. It’s also a good idea to maybe subscribe to a journal of your interest. I see big opportunities in these spaces. Subscription model of quality, valuable, insightful and unbiased information in a specialized area. Hard to come by these days in most mainstream media and book publishers. These days the shit you find is biased and brainwashed or just dumb.

It's hard to say what my favorite books on Leadership are because there are so many that have left me with insights and inspiration.

But if I have to make a list of three books I choose:

1. The Leader in You - Dale Carnegie
2. The 7 habits to highly effective people - Stephen R. Covey
3. Emotional Intelligence - Daniel Goleman

I've got a lot of favorite books but my three for leadership would have to be:
  • "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" - Stephen R. Covey
  • "We Are All Weird" - Seth Godin
  • "How to Win Friends and Influence People" - Dale Carnegie

Leadership is that type of skill that contains many many different skills. You need to be good in many fields.
I would say read:
  • Art of War - Sun Tzu
  • How to make friends and influence people by Dale Carnagie
  • Emotional intelligence by Daniel Goleman

Hi, due to my experience of 10 years corporate leadship
  • People styles at work and beyond (to understand who you have in front of you)
  • the new one minute manager (as it has the most efficient way to handle people on hoc in a positive way)
  • The 7 habits to highly effective people (just to confirm it has so much relevant topics in it and there is a reason why it has been mentioned already a couple of times)
Bests
