So the company I'm launching has reached beta stage, and I'm ready to begin marketing.
I was contacted about joining a event for entrepreneurs where I would find people who own magazines, CEOs' and founders of many company, and every single connection my business needs to take off.

I can't afford the frakken ticket!!:vamp:

No not the ticket to the event. Thats taken care of. Not the hotel. the plane picket, to fly to the location.
my paulty slow-lane job doesn't make enough to afford the plane fare.
I'm sure one day I'll look back on this and laugh.

If this is truly so critical to the future of your fastlane project, there are several options available to you. Let me preface this by saying...I only endorse borrowing for projects that have a definite payback & in a very short time frame!

Options:
1) Make it a genuine challenge to spend nothing for the next 2 months. Cancel any expenses/bills you can. You'll be surprise by what you can save if you have a goal!
2) Get a 2nd job (flipping burgers, delivering pizzas, answering the phone, anything) and save every penny. Quit after you reach your goal.
3) Credit Cards (easy, but requires greater confidence that this will pay off)
4) Home Equity Loans (again risky, check with your lender)
5) Small Business Loans (ugh, check various bank offerings)
6) Payday loans (this makes me nervous...absolutely last resort)
7) Sell an organ on the black market (might be better than the payday loan!)

Well, don't keep us in suspense. What did you do to get from

to

?

Ha yeah I can see that would be a cliff-hanger.

That was a excellent post you made, although most of the credit checking won't apply. I got into a accident in 2015 that has left my credit a
mess of negotiations when insurance refused to pay, and I'd be hard pressed to find a bank who would deal with a -0 credit.

Let me put it this way. I have been going to bars and cozening up to the big balers who place bets shooting pool. I planned to get there if I had to duct tape my self to the plane!

I was also considering selling the high end computer I use for development.. But I think that would be shooting myself in the foot.

In the end..

While I was looking for discounted plane ticket rates I got a message from a entrepreneur related friend asking where I was planning to go for hotel arrangements, I told him I might not be able to make it and he offered to front the cost! He says he doesn't care about the expense but you can be darn sure i'll be dauntlessness in refunding him weather he sees it as a loan or not.

Turns out, people who travel a lot get points. These points can then be traded in for plane fare.

Now I'v gotta get TO the plane. :smuggy: (this is a joke)
did you know? Uber does not allow rides in advance.
