First off, thanks for this amazing forum and to the people who are contributing here!
Lately I’ve been having thoughts and doubts about my overall existence. What the F*ck is the meaning of my life? I think it is just a phase but it does sound scary in my head
I always love to help people (and animals) and don’t expect nothing in return but I’m still having these thoughts sometimes.
I haven’t really figured out which way I’m heading with my future business, I have some ideas though and I have just started to work on one of them more seriously (wantrepreneur). But I don’t have a job at the moment because I don’t need one. Next week I will start 1.5 month-long sales course so back to school I think it will very useful for the future.
But I have tons of free time and I was thinking about doing some volunteer work, something to do with animals, one of my biggest passions - going to animal shelters and helping out the workers there, building small sleeping beds, houses etc for the animals for free (I’m a carpenter). Walking and playing with animals there. Talking, giving them love and warmth from my heart. To give value to them, but maybe it would also give some purpose in my life too?
So my question to you guys, how many of you are doing some kind of volunteer work or charity work from your spare time (if you have any?)? Has it changed you and what kind of impact does it have on your life?
I think it is a huge and maybe even underrated chance to start giving value and love and get some experience as well. Especially for people who struggle to get going forward with ideas or maybe just find excuses?
