A couple months ago, VISA announced it was going public in Q1 '08. Anyone hear anything about what the price will be? Any thoughts on them going public?

I think all these credit crunch fears might dampen visa's stock price(which might make it an attractive investment though it might take a while for market participants to see its value) but it sure has a damn good business model.
BEST OF ALL:

* Because it acts as an intermediary, Visa doesn’t sustain losses when consumers don’t repay the debts run up on credit cards bearing its brand. Those liabilities instead fall to the banks that issue the cards and set the terms of repayment

I think it'd be nice to get numbers on credit card usage in the last few recessions. If it shows gains even in weak periods, visa's business may not stagnate even in a worst case scenario for the economy.
