Is there another service similar to QuickMVP that you guys have used successfully? I'm looking to validate an idea via google adwords/facebook but have heard bad things about QuickMVP.

Thanks!

Create the campaigns using the AdWords or Facebook interface initially (or via AdWords Editor / Facebook's Power Editor).

Don't use some tool to create campaigns for you and shield you from the data.

Maybe outsource this, but make sure they understand you're "buying data" and know how to structure campaigns accordingly.

You don't even need a website in the early steps of determining whether your ads will run, and the next step of "counting impressions".

You could point ads to other people's websites, such as the Yellow Pages or even ask.com (perform the search on ask to get the appropriate URL - it will likely contain q=<keyword>).

Be very careful pointing to ask.com or something similar as you might get banned for arbitrage. Only do this if you know what you're doing. Even AdWords specialists in agencie likely won't have done this before.

If you want to get signups, enquiries, sales etc, then you'll likely need a simple landing page.

Again, you don't necessarily need to create a website. Maybe you create a listing in a directory or on an eCommerce store (eBay/Amazon) and direct visitors to that?

If you want to own the website, then just throw up a simple landing page. I use Wordpress for these.

These threads might help:

Don't forget to (re-)read the "You don't need a website, you need sales" thread.

And you might want to listen to the first radio interview linked to in my signature.

Hmmm... maybe I'll do a video and drop it on the inside?

Doooit! That would be awesome.

Thanks for all the information Andy! I definitely was trying to look for a host for this, it's an idea for a website that I'm trying to validate, a SaaS, not a physical product so I was looking for something to create a simple landing page, and allow people to give their emails and sign up. I think I'll use WP for this like you said, then try to run a few ad campaigns.
