I expect most of my sales when I start my company will be acquired by finding networking events and other places to pitch my product (online marketing) to small business owners.
I have a forgettable name but I think a nickname based on my first name, plus my middle name would be more memorable. Mostly because my middle name is memorable.
For example, if my name was Johnathan Fireball Smithson, I think putting "Johnny Fireball" on my business cards and going by Johnny in conversation would be super cheesey but also much more memorable.
Should I do it? My family and close friends already call me by my more casual nickname. Using my memorable middle name instead of my last name would be the main change here.
Would this help people remember me or just make me seem dishonest?
If I do it then should I introduce myself in conversation as Johnny or Johnny Fireball?
