I noticed there's been a big influx of Canadian Fastlaners coming onto the site. Welcome all!

I've met a few people here on FL, and the general mindset is to get a real meetup going.

I suggest possibly the weekend of the 23rd or 30th.


Any suggestions?

I'm thinking around the 30th. Should give people sufficient time to open up their schedule, considering what a time-sensitive group we are.

I've shot off a few emails to a few golf and country clubs that may accommodate us for a meeting room for a few hours, considering we are the target market they are looking for, shouldn't be too much trouble getting it going.

Does anybody know any spot downtown we can arrange this?

As for what we can do, I feel there is a need for people to find like-minded fastlaners here in T.O.

Maybe we can set up a monthly meeting/ mastermind group that would be great, a place you can bounce ideas off, see what others are doing and stay motivated. A real world forum, where you can share your pitfalls, success stories, experiences, ideas and execution.

Who knows what can develop later on.

if we can get enough people in, we can do a meeting of the sort, give everybody a quick 2 minute intro, I'm willing to do a 15 minute presentation on my experience and expertise in the HVAC industry and startups I'm currently involved in.

If we can have one more person willing to do a 10 minute talk on a subject of their preference, I'd love to listen.

allow for casual networking the rest of the time for a couple hours and call it a day.

Worst case scenario we walk out with a little more knowledge, a few quality connections and some new friends

I came in from Glasgow, Scotland. So a nice change I must say. After I graduated I needed a change

Especially meeting like minded people as Scots tend to have a massive negativity towards anything different (entrepreneurship).

I would be down for something more casual as well, the place on Bay and Bloor would suit me well.
Grab a few beers, coffee or whatever tickles your pickle and just get a good chat going with like minded people!

I agree with Vick and ped89, I'd love to meet some fastlaners in a casual setting. I really don't have time to create a presentation right now. Silverhawk what do you think?
