So most of us probably know that blockchain, cyber security etc. will have their place in the future. But what are other markets you guys believe will thrive in the next couple of years?

I'm probably ignorant of many new technologies and trends so this is definitely not an exhaustive list (wrote them in random order and then sorted alphabetically):
  • 3D printing,
  • agricultural reinvention,
  • AI,
  • alternative governance protocols (like DAOs),
  • AR,
  • biohacking,
  • biopackaging and recyclable packaging,
  • blockchain,
  • cannabis,
  • cloud computing,
  • cyber security,
  • data science and big data,
  • decentralization (decentralized finance is just the first big industry)
  • diversity compliance,
  • drones,
  • e-bikes,
  • elderly care,
  • e-learning,
  • freelancing,
  • gaming,
  • genomics,
  • gig economy and side hustles,
  • green construction,
  • green energy,
  • green transportation,
  • helping those who need challenges in life to challenge them (for example, hardcore obstacle races, mental toughness bootcamps, ultramarathons)
  • Internet of Things,
  • life extension,
  • making the lives of lazy people even more comfortable,
  • mental health issues, primarily crisis of meaning,
  • nanotechnology,
  • no-code,
  • one-person businesses,
  • online and offline privacy,
  • personal sovereignty,
  • plant-based alternatives and cultured meat,
  • reef restoration,
  • reforestation,
  • remote work,
  • robotics,
  • satellites,
  • sharing economy,
  • smart home,
  • spirituality,
  • sustainable tourism,
  • VR,
  • warehousing/order fulfillment/B2B services for e-commerce,
  • water technologies,
  • wearables and sensors,
  • zero waste manufacturing.

Thats a F*cking great list man!!! The future is definitely technology driven. An issue that I see though is that most people are not programmers or dont have any connection to it, making it hard to join these futuristic trends...

Then either learn it or explore no-code solutions. You don't necessarily have to be an engineer.
