I´ve been reading some stoic philosophy and one of the principles is, there are things we can control and some things we can´t control.
It is better to focus on things we can control. I.e.
-doing our best to solve the problem
-developing the product to the best of our ability
-gaining more knowledge
-improving constantly
-pivoting when not getting positive feedback
Things we can´t control:
-guarantee that we will be able to solve the problem
-guarantee that people will like and use the product
-guarantee that we will get sales from the first prototype
You have no guarantee that the product will make 100k/month in revenue, that the outcome will be exactly as you imagined.
But what you can control is focusing on the process, what you do, and skewing the odds in your favour.
