For those of you that know who I am, you know that I love motivation and I think that observations are key to growth. This is why I started SE. I always wanted to read great stories of great people, doing great things but it always seemed that you would only hear of those very important people (Trump, Gates, Jobs etc..) and never about relatable people having major wins. I always was interested in knowing what other successful Entrepreneurs who were not famous were doing with their life. As a result, when I made it to financial independence i decided to help create a place where those same people's stories would be told. For the past 4 years or so, we featured a new person each and every month and today we have more than a 100 great stories in the queue and growing each day with more people wanting to share their incredible stories.

My biggest learning through the years working on SE has been that everyone's story has value and that stories are what allows us to be remembered once we leave. It is the stories of how we impact others around us through our actions.

I have placed a few of those stories that I believe help inspire others here, and will update this as I can with new stories. I have also added here a brief description of each story. Enjoy and remember that not all stories will motivate all people but rather help you see how others are living their dreams and inspire you to push towards living yours, no matter what those are.

He’s here today to tell his story on how he went from making six figures doing SEO consulting for Fortune 500 companies during highschool to building multi-million dollar startups.

If you’ve been on Secret Entourage before, you’ll know we’re big fans of ADV1 Wheels and loved them enough to rock several sets on a few of our project cars. ADV1 Wheels has grown extremely fast and this all couldn’t have happened without the learning experiences Jordan Swerdloff had during his short endeavor with 360 Forged. Although 360 Forged was short lived, we saw the drive and determination in Jordan and fully supported him in any capacity we could as he has done the same for us. With that said, Jordan launched ADV1 Wheels immediately after and has continued to rise to the top of the wheel industry

Sometimes all it takes is one incident for people to wake up and change their ways. This was the case for Chad Mureta, a former real estate developer who was in the market during the housing bubble crash. As an overworked business owner, Chad took a night out with friends and was involved in a near fatal car accident when a deer jumped in front of his car. While laying in his hospital bed with hundreds of thousands in debt, a friend introduced him to the world of apps. That moment spurred Chad to borrow money from his family to develop his first app which turned out to be a success. Since then, Chad has launched over 65 apps and has become a self-made multi-millionaire in doing so.

We all love exotic cars so we often find it a shame when they are garaged rather than driven. Thanks to Damon Fryer of Daily Driven Exotics, he’s not your average Lamborghini owner and has successfully shown that exotics can take a beating and be driven in all types of situations. When he’s not hooning around in his Gallardo, you can find him anywhere in the world running his email marketing business. None of this could of happened if he wasn’t exposed to entrepreneurship or success at a young age which lead him to drop out of school in 9th grade. Through relationships he was able to find his niche in email marketing and is here today to give us an inside look on what it takes to succeed.

Secret to Success - Damon Fryer | Secret Entourage

For entrepreneurs, perhaps a greater reward than money is the reward of time and the freedom to do what you want, when you want. As entrepreneurs, we all envision a lifestyle we want to live, one where we aren’t tied down to a specific location or title. The perfect example of the lifestyle entrepreneur is Lewis Howes, a professional athlete who succumbed to injury to only bounce back as one of today’s top online marketers. His LinkedIn, Youtube, Facebook, & webinar online courses have raked in more than $2.5 million a year allowing him to travel the world and fulfill his life-long dream of becoming an Olympic athlete.

In the world of entrepreneurship, those who hustle the most are often the ones that succeed the furthest as well. When we refer to hustle, it’s not referring to simply sending emails to people but rather going out there meeting people and picking up the phone and making things happen without taking NO for an answer. As a slick online marketer, Brian hustled his way into the music industry by thinking out of the box to get in front of major music corporation executives. As a result of all his efforts, Brian has now worked with established and upcoming musicians through his company Future Star by providing digital marketing and talent management services.

As the app industry continues to grow, more and more people are jumping into app development since the barrier of entry is much lower than it was before. Unfortunately, most people that do create apps, often fall short of their goals and expectations and call it quits after one try. As you’ll learn with our latest success story, Braydon Batungbacal has created well over 50 apps but it was not without its challenges. His first app only had 2,000 total downloads but through constant refinement, he has built an app portfolio that has surpassed 30 million downloads and over $500,000 in revenue for 2013. A very impressive feat for anyone but especially for Braydon since he is only 21 years old.

We often discuss the difference between owning a business and being an entrepreneur where the latter often means being innovative in the process. Andrew Bachman has a different perspective on entrepreneurship and that is focusing on revenue first and then being innovative. With the sale of his former internet marketing company, Tatto Media for $60 million, Andrew discusses what business models worked best for him, how to grab the attention of an angel investor, what getting acquired feels like and much more. His latest venture is Game Plan Nutrition, a nutritional fitness company aimed to revolutionize that niche market.

The affiliate marketing industry can be cut throat since the primary objective of affiliates is to make money whether that means copying your websites, ads, SEO tactics or other. It’s simply becomes a ‘dog eat dog’ world where too many self-proclaimed gurus will sell you rehashed information with nothing but empty promises. We are glad to have Ian Mason featured this time to shed some light on how he’s been able to grow a profitable portfolio of over 50 websites that not only has survived Google’s algorithmic updates but also has surpassed over $3.1 million in affiliate commissions. He shares with us his best kept secrets on SEO, productivity, and how he plans to diversify into software and mobile.

As a young teenager all the way from Ohio, millions of people have watched Chris “Drama” Pfaff star along side his cousin, Rob Dyrdek, on MTV’s Rob & Big and Fantasy Factory since 2006. For almost a decade, we’ve seen Chris go from Rob’s assistant to becoming an entrepreneur on his own. If you’ve watched the last few seasons of Fantasy Factory, you may have noticed Drama’s rise to stardom when he launched Young & Reckless, a street wear clothing line. Leveraging the tools available at hand, Drama quickly grew Young & Reckless into one of today’s most popular and fastest growing clothing lines worn by countless celebrities and sold in retailers nationwide. It’s an honor to have Drama share his story with us today.

As entrepreneurs, its not always about the end game but rather the journey we all must navigate through. While there will be ups and downs, we must stay on course and ultimately believe in ourselves and our vision enough to see it come to life. Steve Gallion faced the same obstacles after reaching his first million at age 23 before being forced to work for Target after investing most of his capital into his business. His gamble paid off and after four years of long hard hours, Steve’s business got acquired for a large sum money allowing him to retire if he wanted. Being a typical entrepreneur, Steve is already onto the next big idea.

As female entrepreneurs, the path to success can sometimes be difficult with push back from society and competitors. At the age of 25 with nothing more than $30,000, Amber Blonigan created Gi Motorsports. Pushback from society and competitors was as expected as female entrepreneurs were not as common, especially in the automotive industry. Amber was able to tune out the negativity to constantly move forward and make wise business decisions to grow the company to over $100,000 in sales within the first few months of business. For over a decade, Gi Motorsports has been the premiere European automotive maintenance and tuning shop in Los Angeles. From McLaren MP4-12Cs to Lamborghini Aventadors, Gi Motorsports does it all.

As entrepreneurs, we often hate working for others which leads us to create our own businesses. Many struggle to balance their day jobs while taking on entrepreneurship on the side as it is mentally and physically consuming. Others like Yanni Albana thrive on the constant hustle because it helps shape his self discipline and will to succeed. During the day, Yanni works at a University where his job is to act as an advisor and network with hundreds of individuals. At night, Yanni is the owner and operator of Nara Ultra Lounge, a hookah lounge based out of San Diego, California. Although working a 9-5, Yanni has built up a thriving business and is ready to take the next step.

With recent movies like The Wolf of Wall Street putting the spotlight on penny stocks and trading, thousands have wondered how they could get in on the action. Ask anyone that has invested in the stock market and they’ll most probably admit they’ve lost more than they’ve won. To create a sustainable and viable business day trading, one must have the complete training and resources to make it happen. Luckily, traders like Cameron Fous have created ‘watch over my shoulder’ training courses, while at the same time earning more than $600,000 in day trading. Today, thousands of students study under Cameron’s Fous Alerts program and learn how to profit off penny stocks to add more money to their pockets.

While growing up in front of the family business, Ovi Nasui started to take a liking towards entrepreneurship. Knowing that a typical career wasn’t the right path, Ovi decided to drop out of school after finding success in real estate. Good things sometimes come to an end and the real estate crash in 2008 put Ovi in a hole and through some tough times. Believing that he could overcome this obstacle, Ovi went back to the drawing board and started a new business, one that was almost recession proof. Along with his father, which is also his best friend and mentor, Ovi started a senior care facility and has continued to see tremendous growth and new opportunities in multiple locations. Ovi is the perfect example of living in the American Dream.
