Starting in May, Apple will allow podcast publishers sell subscriptions and set their own pricing, starting at 49 cents a month in the US. Apple will keep 30 percent of the subscription revenue in year one and 15 percent after that.

I am excited about Apple making this program available to podcasters. It will inevitably make free shows like KBRS climb the ranks faster.

Bootlickers beware.

I loved this episode. The amount of tax I am going to have to pay this year is making my blood boil.
Seeing Australia at number 3 kind of shocked me as like you said, it ain't that great.
Sadly, this is very true.

Tomorrow, I have a big one coming out at 7AM sharp.

In my appreciation for what @Vigilante did on his fill in spot with his "worst day" in business...

I did mine. You won't want to miss this one.

Check out yesterday’s episode for a bit on “rights.” People think that because they have the right to do something or say something or be someone stupid they also have the right to our respect while they do it. They don’t.

@Kak I discovered your podcasts 4 days ago (via this forum) and have listened to 12 episodes in that time. Love it, thanks a lot for recording them.

My only criticism is that I didn't manage to find your podcast earlier! When I have previously searched 'capitalist' on google podcasts your episodes don't come up. Is it possible for you to rank higher for key words like that? I would have started listening a long time ago if I had found it. The search 'capitalist' bring up recent episodes and there are some capitalist radio shows but mostly it comes up with results like anti-capitalism. E.g. the second result is 'David Harvey's Anti-capitalist chronicles' lol, not what I was searching for. Of course it is good to have your views challenged sometimes but it's nice to find a channel that resonates with me for once.

Today, I shared a super practical tool that can make your business bigger than you without raiding tight resources.

It is making its way to all the popular podcast apps you listen on!

Awesome! Thanks man! Yeah, the rankings are up to the respective apps and capitalism isn't in the name. So the ones that do will definitely get priority. I will make sure to use "capitalism" as much as possible in the descriptions to hopefully get some play on that word.

I am stoked that you love it!

Weird. Seems to only be you. I’ve had people finish and text me. I can get the whole thing in Libsyn and Apple.

He sits in the office sometimes when I’m recording. The last thing I’d want to do is mic him up. Haha!

He will be Kwk on TFLF in 15 years or so.

I am going to lose some listeners with this...

If you lost anyone for speaking the truth, then they aren't ready for the truth ... and in your words, they're likely a "taker" who is just defending their taker status.

This was really interesting and thank you for putting it into words.

Do you have any recommendations for easy-to-read Libertarian books? I'm registered Republican but I'm all about freedom and looking more for a primer on Libertarian ideals and thoughts. One that kept me interested in a sample of the book is "Don't Hurt People And Don't Take Their Stuff" by Matt Kibbe.

Easy reading?

If you haven’t read Atlas Shrugged, definitely do that. Also follow Ron Paul and the Mises Institute.

The real stuff is from Murray Rothbard and Ludwig Von Mises.

The thing is, a libertarian is really right of Republican. They think small government and mean it. Some define a libertarian as social liberals and fiscal conservatives… Not really. Just minuscule government, out of our lives.

Republicans have always danced with the idea of small government, and then married big government. The vast majority of libertarians prefer a Republican to a Democrat, they’re just objective in seeing that a Republican still sucks at small government.

I am a social conservative and a fiscal conservative, but I’m 100% libertarian. I know, it’s a bit of a mind bender.

Here’s how I like to put it:

-Republicans are the party of high taxes, just a little lower than the democrats.

-Republicans are the party of lots of regulation, just a little less than the Democrats.

-Republicans love spending lots of money, but just a little less than the Democrats.

-Republicans are pro gun control! They just want a little less of it than the Democrats.

-Republicans love governmental price controls of the private sector, just a tiny bit less than the Democrats.

-Republicans love Keynesian monetary policy and debasing the currency, “but it’s only socialism when Democrats do it.”

-Republicans are even for abortion, if you look at the laws they try to pass, it is always a half measure, they just want fewer abortions then the Democrats. Mr. Christian himself, Mike Pence, himself dodged the hell out of this in the debate with Harris.

When you cede this intellectual argument to the left, you admit that all of this stuff is needed, and therefore good policy… Yet, they want less of it than the Democrats, they just look like stingy hypocrites.

Thank you for your explanations. I would agree, and yes, I read Atlas Shrugged. I think I finished it mid-last year. It kept me engaged but some of the events in the book were a little extreme.

Mises is interesting. I've heard of them many, many years ago. I actually have a degree in Economics. I read a few of their articles tonight and like their message. I've been out of touch with them for so long since I don't really work in the field.

I try to not go too deep into politics but being able to have things put into words that make sense and that cut through the BS really helps me keep my sanity. I am often speechless when it comes to seeing the idiocracy of society over the last year and a half.

But again, thank you for that last podcast episode. I will probably listen to it again!

Believe it or not… A lot of Fox News types would show up with torches and pitchforks for disrespecting a piece of fabric that they like to hang on a stick.

I have found that many Americans are EXTREMELY patriotic, which I have found surprisingly persistent even as the country has gone to crap over the years it's been quite odd to witness.

It is much different in Australia, as I don't know anyone at all that has a strong sense of patriotism.
Just the other week the PM of Australia was doing a news interview and it stopped as some guy came out the front and told him to get the fark of his nature strip as he has just seeded it.

Can you imagine being proud of yourself for your parents registering you to a particular government as an infant? Enough to chant a pledge of undying allegiance to a flag, to the government it stands for, and its evolving definition of “liberty and justice?”

Most Americans do this without even thinking about it.

I am convinced the creepy socialist pledge is responsible for the anger I’m describing. It is literally indoctrination, boldly hanging out in plain view.
