Sorry I had to run out so quick this evening. Had a plane to catch!

It was so unbelievably cool to get to see so many old friends, put some faces to some names and make some new friends!

I am incredibly thankful for the experience. I’m thankful for the community. You guys rock. All of you.

Special thanks to @MJ DeMarco for putting this on. It isn’t easy. @AllenCrawley you did a great job as MC!

To ALL attendees, but especially first timers taking tons of notes or photos of the presentation slides with your phones... When you come home - those notes and photos won't hold much value unless you actually do something with them!

I remember taking lots of notes at my first meetup in 2014, all excited for all the stuff I had written down but I didn't do anything with them right away because I was gonna look over them "soon". That "soon" wasn't until the next summit a year later when I sorted through the backpack I had used, lol... Because when you get home from this amazing weekend - it's all too easy to forget about those notes and think "I'll go over the notes and slide photots I took soon".

But that "soon" quickly becomes a week, then 3 weeks, then 2 months. Next thing you know, half a year has gone by when you later discover your notes while sorting through your shit, or your phone image gallery. "oh shit.... I forgot about those". Don't do that.

If you wrote something down or took a picture of a presentation - transfer that shit down into ACTIONABLE ITEMS WITHIN 24 HOURS of coming home! And by transfer I mean rewrite or copy it into something like Trello, a to-do list, or other task management tools you may be using.

You will kick yourself later if all the golden value nuggets you so excitedly had jotted down was left forgotten after the summit.

Do.
It.

Special thanks again to MJ, Danielle, and Allen for a top notch event (as always!).

Hey all - I really enjoyed speaking this weekend. Definitely out of my comfort zone (in case you couldn't tell from the shaky start ;))

Remember that this weekend is pointless if you don't implement the things you learned. If you go back and fall into the same routines, you may have well just stayed home for the weekend.

Don't be afraid to tag me in a thread if you want my eyes on something. If it's sensitive, PM me, but the more we can do out in the open to help everyone, the better.

Well, that's a wrap. Boarding my flight from the summit.

Really proud of everyone. Thank you @MJ DeMarco.

I changed a lot of lives this weekend. Got mine changed too.

None of this means anything if you don't get results.

@Kung Fu Steve posted this the other day from TR: Dont tell me what you did today. Tell me what VALUE you produced.

Let's get to it. Hold someone accountable. Chop F*cking chop.

Everyone get pissed off on your plane rides home by the way.

Cherish that half a can of soda!

Damn I feel like a peasant sitting here, despite the WiFi.

They make these for a reason. Because people buy them.

Another awesome Summit! It was great meeting everyone, tons of people I missed..

As decompression hits, I was sitting here pre-drafting a long post in my head. Then wisdom I gained from the previous Summit told me to skip the Highs that I have now, but instead look into sustaining the energy into forum content in the months ahead.

So instead of my long post, I'll show through Action! Can't wait for you guys to see!

The value at this event is just off the charts.

It is 3 Am and I am still digesting the most interesting conversation that I had with Runum.

I didn’t know him but he came and introduced himself and we got to talking. My wife and I homeschool our children and this is something that is important to us and we want to give them the best education possible. However it is easy to fall into the rut of just buying a curriculum and having all of them do the same thing in the same way. Sort of like a mini school which isn’t necessarily bad but to me takes away one of the biggest benefits of homeschooling.

So Runum says the most incredible thing to me, and I am probably badly paraphrasing so I welcome him to correct me but here goes, “teaching is sales, you are selling an education to children, and you need a good value proposition to get them to buy.” I had never thought about this way before and the more I ponder it the more profound it becomes. I thought we were doing a good job, but when I think of how I could better tailor what we teach each individual child if I approached it like a critically important sales call where I needed them to buy in based on their strengths and interests and I realize we have a long way to go.

What an incredible event. Had no idea what to expect, but this has been a fantastic experience. Met so many great people and have so many actionable takeaways. Will be hard to not have high expectations for next year, but I will take the advice from @LightHouse and just appreciate that we have this opportunity!

Currently stuck in Chicago so it was a good time to write my note for this year.

In past years I write out my long thank you notes, however this year due to having no voice for the majority of the event I did not get the chance to meet near as many folks as I thought I would.

It was an honor to speak for all of you. As I said I am proud of all of the 1st years that stepped out of their comfort zone and came. I hope the event provided more than what you expected. In fact I know it did because we know now your expectations are at zero and you appreciate the opportunities that lay at your feet each day

I look forward to connecting with as many of you as possible on here and in the future!

p.s. if anyone by chance got any photos of when i was up, please send them via PM. I didn't see a person move really the whole time (minus MJ yawning in the front) so I am not sure that anyone got any! I did however record it, and will likely post that on an INSIDERS thread or within the summit attendees forum here soon.

p.s.s. @MJ DeMarco Maybe you should create a fairly prestigious Summit Speaker badge for the speakers. I heard a few people mention it was a major goal to be able to speak at the event. For most it is a pretty big deal and only few and farinbetweenn have done it?

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes...

the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules...

You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things...

They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
