I don't own a car anymore, by choice. So, I don't pay for insurance, I don't gripe about oil prices, I don't harm the environment, I don't get road rage anymore, and I slow down a bit. It's win-win-win. If I need to go somewhere, I'll take a train/bus/taxi.

I rolled my SUV (Ford didn't have the right suspension in it, so it wasn't my fault), so I invested the insurance money in my business and walk to and from my store most days, about a mile away.

Of course, this will change when I reach my next goal. I'll go buy something nice. After having not driven for a while, I will really enjoy it!

Daniel.

My dad just got a new Infiniti G35x today. It has AWD, navigation, and just about all the other options. It's sweet. The technology in the car is amazing.

This means I'll finally have my '06 Accord Coupe to myself. I kinda feel guilty about driving it, though. I haven't really done anything to deserve it. Hopefully, I'll be able to buy myself something shortly.

Here are the two cars I mentioned:

Need to get me some Lambo power, and Gus has been griping at me to get one. So, here I go.

Thanks, she's dirty but she is in GREAT condition. Just so happened the day we were going to shoot some real photos we were working on a Mach 1 and the majority of that is body dust from sanding.

She's always for sale :)

Best,

I'll have to post pics when I get home as I can't access facebook(where I have them hosted) at work :(

Current:

'91 3000GT VR4(Since 12/28/00)- maroon/black, a few performance/aesthetic mods, stock turbos

'04 CBR 600F4i(Since 3/29/08)- yellow/black, bone stock, 4k miles

Past(in order of ownership):

'95 YZF600R(03/06-09/06)- totalled(idiot pulled out in front of me), had a slip-on and was my first bike!

'88 Accord DX(04/04-09/04)- beater/daily driver, bought from a friend in NYC and drove back, made for a fun 13.5 roadtrip!

'93 Chevy Astrovan(09/02-12/03)- the original family road-trip mobile/work van, my dad put most of the miles on it b4 it became my DD/beater, had 254k when we got rid of it!

'95 Firebird Formula Conv't(03/00-12/00)- 2nd car, bone stock

'93 Firebird Formula T-tops(08/99-03/00)- 1st car, bought when I got my first learner's permit!(thanks to bike shop and paper route jobs as a pre-teen/teen and parental help, something I'm not too proud of :()

If you can't tell I'm a car nut and somewhat regret all the money I put into not only buying that first Firebird, but modding the VR4 as a few smart investments and a great business plan and I'd probably have my Murci and C-GT by now ;)

The brakes are squeeky and the heat isn't currently working. But I'm going to keep this thing forever. Even after I'm in the Fastlane.

Oh I'll never buy a new car, even when I am super-successful, especially since you can find a decent used Murci in the 150-180 range v. the 300+ they go for new, but I'll definitely look at it like MJ that I'm not buying once I have $150k in the bank, but when I have built up atleast $150k/mo in income as there are plenty of additional expenses not to mention I'm gonna want to mod it :)

And oh yea, pics-

The last one is Adi and I(I know, I look like a Caveman in the pic :smx4:)

The blurry garage pic has my 3rd toy and 1st love, the Cannondale mountain bike I build from the frame up back in '98!

PS djs- nice Benz, looks sharp!

One of the main reasons I loved riding a bike. Having the gf hold on tighter when you hit that throttle just a bit to hard. On accident of course.

Btw glad to see those helmets in the picture.

I'm not much for pictures, but here is the engine of my 1987 300SDL, and a crappy side shot.

I'll never sell it, its the third Mercedes I have owned, I'm a MB driver for life.

277,531 miles and going strong.

I thought you needed to be 18 to get your Fuhrerschein? Or is there some type of permit you get before you pay the $2k Euro or whatever crazy fee they charge in Deutschland :smxB:

Damn you :p

BTW I saw one of your old posts on the LP forums about some punk kid with a Gallardo who told you step away and was going to post an opposite experience I had with the first Viper I ever saw when I was 12, I was at a Mobil station and started talking to the owner, seeing that he was a cool guy I decided to ask if I could sit in it and he actually said yes!

That was a moment that'll always stick with me, while the Viper is no longer my favorite, I will always love 'em and remember it as the car that got me obsessed with cars!

Well, good job because you're actually right. You really need to be 18 in Germany in order to get your licence!
However, there is a special rule: It allows you to drive when you're 17 but you parents have to sit in the car as well...

Oh and you're definitly right - they charge crazy fees here. At the moment the price for a licence is between 2000 and 3500$ - depends on how fast you learn to drive. How much you guys pay for a licence in the US?

I got mine 9yrs ago and I believe it cost about $25, but that's why we have such bad drivers here, ANYBODY can get a license!

About a year and a half ago it cost me $45 for the Learners Permit. After that I drove for six months with Mom, signed up for the test and then passed. I believe the Permit was the only fee.

In NY, if you're under 18 you can't drive past 9:00 PM, but rules are meant to be broken.

lol i'd take $2500 license for unlimited speeds, not to mention for $2500 it would eliminate a lot of the slow, problem drivers that are more of a hazard than someone driving fast and paying attention :smxB:

btw do you know or have you ever seen anyone get pulled over for speeding in Deutschland?

I ask b/c I rode the Autobahn in Austria on a rented ZX6R and was going 160kph most of the way from Wien to Graz and was just barely keepin up with traffic w/ the limit being 130. My roommate told me that 10% over is what they usually allow(~143kph), much like here w/ 55mph being the limit and they usually allow 65-70mph b4 they write a ticket, but some cops are jerks and will write you up for 60 in a 55.

I did hit 200 and it would've been nice to top it out b/c there were a few nice open straightaways, but unlike your Autobahn there IS a speed-limit in Austria and with my luck I would've gotten pulled over :nonod:
