Subscription service - wordpress?

Hey guys,

This question is directed to the wordpress wizz's or people with online subscription services. Basically my business is selling a subscription. Really basic. However, I need to set up my website so the user can come, sign up, and also pay for their subscription. Id like to make it so they have the option to pay monthly, 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year. I also want to make it so they can make it recurring, thus they do not need to log in and pay monthly.

Again, this is a very basic.. basically the same as any subscription or membership. Anyone recommend a good wordpress plug in, or any ways I can go about implementing on my website?

good link thanks. I had that bookmarked but am not sure it is what im looking for. The idea behind that is a membership section on a wordpress site. basically allowing user access levels to sections. They mention a payment, but that may just be payment to that section.

Im looking for a subscription service. My business idea IS a subscription service. I sell a month to month, 3 month, 6 month, year, and "gifted" subscription to a service. I need a way for my clients or the public to view my website, and sign up for the subscription service

You might need a custom solution or a wordpress plugin might suffice. Hard to tell without knowing more.

Just wanted to mention something that most people overlook. If you make a private section with subscription google will have problems indexing the content , which might reflect your search rankings

You want wishlist member membership site plugin.
optimizepress also has basic membership area features so perhaps that will do the trick also.
Paypal can do all that stuff you need as far as payment is concerned

Subscription to receive x amount of product each month.

I can look into private section, then paypal for payments. I actually thought about that but was unsure if paypal gives the user the option to choose from different types of subscriptions and automatic monthly payment's

So you are selling a physical product that you are shipping out?

If that is the case, any payment processor will do and you won't need wordpress (at least not for the subscriptions)

Thank you. So i need a payment processor on my wordpress site. Thank you for the clarification. I was just insure where to get a processor that would allow thr user to pick what type of subscription they want, and if they want automatic payments or not
