@Fox Hey there.

I purchased your course yesterday, and I see a lot of value in there. Woah.

I was just wondering, as I mostly purchased it for the freelance and business part. Is it possible to get this kind of result by providing solely SEO services?

Hey Dejan,

Ya plenty of students have combined with SEO or moved over entirely.

We actually have a free starter SEO course within the program (from an outside expert), you will see it in the bonus sections.

Great that you joined, and really happy to see you are liking it so far!

Hi Fox,

I am a self-taught web dev. I already know HTML, CSS, JS and React, as well as some CSS frameworks and component libraries. Originally, my goal with learning to code was to land a web dev job as well as work on some personal projects, but lately (mostly thanks to this thread and your youtube videos) I think freelancing would be the best bet (and of course continue building my personal projects). My brother is a conversion specialist at an agency (they have clients like Rolex, BMW, Siemens), but he also does freelance work on the side. I will offer to build him a website for free, so that I can say I have some freelance experience. I also have other potential clients in mind.

I'm curious if you guys have started using ChatGPT to write copy, sales pitches, emails etc? I have zero experience doing any of those things, but it seems like it does a pretty decent job. Even got it to draft a contract template for me lol.

Hey, ya good question.

It is pretty rough for copy but it is great for giving overall ideas and structure.

So for example you could ask it "what are 8-10 ways I could build trust on a website homepage for a dentist".
But... I would not ask it "write all the copy for a homepage for a dentist" < it is going to be quite generic.

So, in short - use it for ideas, then combine those with research and detailed client insight.

One thing that ChatGPT is amazing at though is coding. I am using it all the time to troubleshoot sites and suggest handy edits. Like @MJ DeMarco used it recently to help him code a bunch of forum stuff here. Today I also used it to learn a ton about clickfunnel page building tools within just a few minutes.

Hope that helps - and the website with your brother sounds like a great first step.

I’ve been in this program for about 2 months now, and I have no idea where you’d find all of this in one place. Fox ain’t gonna do it for you, but he’ll sure as hell help you. I think if you got onto his focus of helping people instead of trying to convince them, sales won’t be as scary. I have no doubt that my involvement in Fox’s group will lead to me ditching my current job, even going about it at a snail’s pace like I’ve been doing.
Hey man, out of curiosity, hows it going for you?

Things are going well for me if you’re just asking about me lol, but I’m sure you want to know how the program worked for me. I’m probably the worst example, because I had some serious money chasing tendencies back then.

I did quit my job, and lived in Mexico for a while doing web design remotely. The program did help me to get and close leads, highest website I sold was $3k. I got distracted by other opportunities, and ultimately ended up doing something completely unrelated to web design.

If you decide to do this program, you need to commit. Don’t get distracted by other stuff, especially early on. Don’t sign up for this if you think it’s going to be easier than working a job… It’s not.

Thanks for leaving feedback, even if you aren't doing web design anymore.

What did you find most valuable - and what did you find hardest?

I hope joining was worth it.

Most valuable for me was the mindset stuff, and how you broke down the sales process. I like to color within the line lol, and that gave me something to build on. Also really love the community, I’m still friends with folks I met there.

I found cold calling the most difficult. Absolutely F*cking hated it and wasn’t ever successful with it. I got sales from word of mouth (like the program suggests to do first) and then Craigslist ads.

Joining was worth it for me. I feel like if you take something away from a book or course, that will later lead you to go Fastlane, then it was worth every cent. I now have a network of folks that I can look to for marketing, web design or SEO help, and since I’ve had some experience with it, I know how to hire them. Wouldn’t have had that experience or the network if I hadn’t joined.

Hey Fox, thank you so much for helping people start on the fastlane! I am a college student and new to the forum, looking desperately for communities, mentors, and resources. The Web Design course and community sounds like a fantastic, exciting opportunity to start my entrepreneur process!

Just landed my first paying client using what I've learned by just watching your videos and reading your e-book @Fox. You have been a huge help. Once I've made a few more projects I will definitely join your web school.

I have to design a theme for a pet shop for 900$.

I don't particularly like the standard themes and the "premium" themes all cost like 350$. However, you can download premium themes from Envato for like 56$ with a regular license. You can also just subscribe to Envato for 14USD the first month and then cancel within a month, or continue paying 39USD a month if you want to continue to use their themes. If you decide to cancel, you will have to finish your project before the subscription ends in order for your license to remain valid after cancellation.

Very nice! Glad the free content helped.

Ya for Envato I would just say to pay as you go - each project will easily cover the cost and I don't think a subscription is needed.

I see what you mean. But in this case, I paid 14 bucks for one month and I don't think there are any good themes at that price. I thought might as well pay the 14 USD and cancel after one month before the next charge.

Best course, and best teacher you ever learned from. I just made excuses and never took action due to fear. 10/10 would totally recommend.

Tips: BeBuilder theme is an awesome theme to get started when selecting a them builder to use for web design.

Purchased the course this week and even jumped in the Legends call yesterday! Looking forward to learning a lot from the community and to really get to grips with making my business into something that can provide people with a ton of value.
