Theres no pre-requisites to starting
The market is saturated as of lately b/c the barrier to entry is so low
Its a common choice for people who want to start their own business. Kind of like "t shirt companies"

I have an associate who did exteremely well with his Social Media marketing company, but hes expanded his horizons because
1. There are better opportunities out their for marketer
2. Too many people are claiming to be social media marketers which is taking the luster from being involved in the industry, if you can even call it that
