Started working for a Tech company a year and a half ago here in Kansas after moving here from Lake Havasu City. Now I may be relocating to Scottsdale for my job. Looking for some info on decent short term rentals so we can find a house and what people really like to do in scottsdale

Westgate is the only thing I can think of. Westgate is the nightlife/shopping area for middle aged people.

You can hike South Mountain.

I'd go to Six Flags and visit the Hopi caves up near Flagstaff.

Some rich guy has this car collection that you can go see. I forget his name.

You can party at ASU in Tempe, Arizona.

You can run across the desert like Forest Gump

Of course, there's the Grand Canyon

I only go to Arizona once every 5 years.

Dancing around a bit huh? The real question is what do you like to do? The Phoenix valley offers a lot. The mountains around it offer different activities. You can go to Diamond Back games, hike/off-road in various levels and different terrains, play softball or other sporting activities, go to the parks (some nice ones in Scottsdale), etc... It is a big city. Lots of things to do there.

I'm a family man, have a 7 year old boy and a wife. Typical outdoorsy stuff. We do a lot of hiking and water activities. Son is big into soccer and other sports. Wife is a substance abuse counselor and will be looking for work before we get there. We do like higher end eateries and are always looking for real pizza. not the crap you get from pizza hut, like real new England style pizza, and decent seafood.

We plan on getting a weekend house in Lake Havasu as well. We like the lake and boating, plus we still have family and friends there as well.

Might be a little intense for a seven year old but, check out Salome Jug. Tons of eateries there. I personally like Sakana for sushi. I also really enjoy the food at Wally's. They are a pub but the food is incredible. Lots of hiking. More than you can do in a lifetime. Once you finish the trails in the Valley, move out to Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, Grand Canyon, etc... The variety of terrains, difficulty, and beauty is unreal.

Great water parks there. Lake Pleasant is city close but out in the country. I'm not really into the water sports but love to camp and off-road around the area.

Lots of sports but training is HOT as you know.

Honestly cant wait to get another offroad rig together. its been about 2 years since we left Arizona and I really miss the offroad scene. Cant find a decent sushi spot in Kansas to save my life. It'll be good being around culture again.

I ran this together. Should have been separate paragraphs. Tons of eateries in Scottsdale. Salome Jug is a canyoneering activity. You float/climb down a canyon through a stream. Lots of jumping, climbing, and floating. The final climb down requires ropes or no fear. Google it!

Personally I love Oregeno’s pizza as do tons of other people as the place seems to always be full. IMO it’s the best pizza in the Area.

I went out to Mill Ave riding those electric scooters you can rent last Saturday night, then went around Scottsdale.

Sunday went to Maya dayclub for a pool party.

I'm living in Tempe because the location allows me to drive to all my appointments easily, but an added 10 minute drive out of Scottsdale is probably going to be worth it since there are lots of great people in Scottsdale.
