The mountains around it offer different activities. You can go to Diamond Back games, hike/off-road in various levels and different terrains, play softball or other sporting activities, go to the parks (some nice ones in Scottsdale), etc... It is a big city. Lots of things to do there.Started working for a Tech company a year and a half ago here in Kansas after moving here from Lake Havasu City. Now I may be relocating to Scottsdale for my job. Looking for some info on decent short term rentals so we can find a house and what people really like to do in scottsdale
Might be a little intense for a seven year old but, check out Salome Jug. Tons of eateries there. I personally like Sakana for sushi. I also really enjoy the food at Wally's. They are a pub but the food is incredible. Lots of hiking. More than you can do in a lifetime. Once you finish the trails in the Valley, move out to Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, Grand Canyon, etc... The variety of terrains, difficulty, and beauty is unreal.I'm a family man, have a 7 year old boy and a wife. Typical outdoorsy stuff. We do a lot of hiking and water activities. Son is big into soccer and other sports. Wife is a substance abuse counselor and will be looking for work before we get there. We do like higher end eateries and are always looking for real pizza. not the crap you get from pizza hut, like real new England style pizza, and decent seafood.
I ran this together. Should have been separate paragraphs. Tons of eateries in Scottsdale. Salome Jug is a canyoneering activity. You float/climb down a canyon through a stream. Lots of jumping, climbing, and floating. The final climb down requires ropes or no fear. Google it!Might be a little intense for a seven year old but, check out Salome Jug. Tons of eateries there.
Personally I love Oregeno’s pizza as do tons of other people as the place seems to always be full. IMO it’s the best pizza in the Area.I'm a family man, have a 7 year old boy and a wife.
