Slack - How To Disable DMs? (Or alternative apps)

Is there any alternative/solution to being able to disable Direct Messaging (DMs) in Slack?

I don't want my contractors directly talking to each other for conflict of interest reasons.

It's a bit crazy that Slack still hasn't added this feature in yet as people have been asking for years.

Any workarounds or alternative apps to disabling DMs in an open-instant-communication app like Slack?
