This is an open question to all.

What key skills will be most relivant for our business in the future. Since Youtube has now exploded 1000s of wannabe video creators want to become full timers in being video content creators. Just like what happened with blogs back in the day, everyone seems to have jumped onto the video band wagon.

Most of these creators are from the school of do what you have passion for, which is fine, but I have learnt from experience that doing what you have passion for is not the best option. Otherwise we would all be getting paid millions to wack off to porn...

Skills for blogs is about good writing.
Skills for video content are about cameras, lighting, editing etc
Web apps etc are about coding.

New things
VR
Video 360

Do we try to solve problems with new tech such as 360 video and VR, as it seems that when the masses have jumped onto it, like YouTube , Amazon Kindle, Blogs, it’s too late.

What skills would you learn now if you had to start from scratch, which are going to be handy in the future?

Focus on developing skills that will always be useful:
1. Selling
2. Communication
3. Getting shit done/Productivity
etc.

The rest you can learn as needed. Want to build a web app or make a video? Tackle those challenges as they cross your path.

I feel a prick for asking it, as things have gone wrong, so much bullshit online this is a safe place to be. Okay, picking myself up for another round. I want to earn my first 100K in year, small I know, but going to break my back to make it happen and if I achieve that I will make a million.

Thanks guys.
