Have you started yet or are you waiting for the COVID restrictions to be gone for the foreseeable future?

No.
Yes.

If any country wants to invade my privacy and demands to know my personal vax status, they can go F*ck themselves. I'll go somewhere else, or stay home.

I don’t know man… it’s something I do. Vote. I know my vote won’t save the world. But if everyone thought that way…
So I vote. And guess what, just this past local election in my municipality, I voted for our Mayor. She won by 3 votes. That triggered a re-count, and still won. So my vote and my wife’s made some difference.

I’m not even into politics, just need to know the powers that be for my business. Yet voting, I take it seriously.

We can agree to disagree.

I think it matters. Sure, you're just 1, but even 1 vote sends a message.

You didn't like that mandate. You voted against it. You were counted. You sent the message. I know it's not that satisfying, but it's the minimum. Now you can do whatever else you want to do too, like post political memes to 100k followers on instagram, lol.

Biggest problem some ideas face is that they dislike the system so much, they don't participate in it, guaranteeing failure.
I’m casting my voot for @Mathuin on this one.

Voooting affirms that I’m just fine with the amount of power my candidate chooses to levy over me. When I vooted for Donald Trump (the first time around), and he proceeded to be a big government socialist, I felt sick that I stuck my stamp of approval on the scumbag. I literally affirmed the Republican level of taxation. I affirmed tariffs and barriers to free trade. I affirmed their versions of healthcare and gun control.

The second time aroooound I vooted for Jorgensen, which was a waste of my time. I affirmed some of her woke stuff. I even had her running mate, Spike Cohen, on my show.

I’ll never vooooooooooooooot again. I have come full circle. 18 year old me was stoked to pieces to voooooot for “McCain Palin 2008 WHEEEEEW fReeDoM.” It was childish and verging on violent of me. It was the same childish brainwashed crap that somehow got me excited for Mitt Romney. Mitt frickin Romney… If you’re excited by Mitt Romney, you have a lobotomy that can be seen from space.

My time is better spent on things that actually change my world, instead of everyone else’s. No one’s life ever got better because they devoooooted hours upon hours of their life to an R or D and tried with all their might to will a coin flip in their favor.

It’s the same coin. They all suck. I’m no longer going to affirm suckage unless someone pays me a consulting fee to do it. Even then, I will not vooot for a socialist and sticking to that principle crosses 99.8 percent of politicians off.

It is a new goal of mine at some point in my life to not know the name of a sitting president. That’s peak circle of influence vs concern. It’s sad that it’s probably the most lofty goal I have, and I have lofty ones.

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum....
Noam Chomsky

This is me fully understanding that my post lies outside of “the spectrum of acceptable opinion.” I also don’t care.

Haha these types of comments are just arrogant and conceited insults. It’s a thinly veiled ad hominem attack.

It’s when you post a meme about logical fallacies and then do the same thing that’s really funny.

Look how smart I am! Note: I’m not the one trying to do that.

To you and anyone else who's on the other side of the "mask is a symbol VS mask is just a mask" debate. Thank you for calling me out on this @thechosen1 I am not a subtle kind of person, I don't do thinly veiled attacks. It was not my intent to offend you or anyone else. But communication has a rule where what is written is judged in the eyes of the reader, not the writer. For that, I apologize for being an arrogant dick on a high horse.

I can tell you that my quote was copy/pate from "The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe" book by Steven Novella and had no intention of being arrogant. I was telling @MitchC to read it and showed a great quote. But you read it a different way, so my intent was/is irrelevant.

Also, I stirred quite a feud here with masks but accomplished nothing. I don't believe there is a global conspiracy and that wearing a mask is "giving an inch" or driving us into decay. I think many of you got all political on this, as is your right. Sorry for pissing you off. Hope I didn't get your day on the wrong foot with my comments. I am a bit like a duck with this topic, this stuff rolls off me but I can see it's a serious matter for you. Like the war in Ukraine is a bit too serious for me and I am sure I wouldn't be able to "let go" of my beliefs there.

On that, I wish you all a wonderful Sunday! @Kak @MitchC @MJ DeMarco @thechosen1 and everyone else.

P.S. @MTF - add the stretching info to your newsletter. I am curious. Goggins almost died based on his intensity and stretching was huge for him.

do you believe he’s got the gold to honour the peg?

Money is backed by belief, guess the market believes it, eh?

BTW, I hold that Putin probably has same "honour" as Justin Trudeau, Biden, Macron, or Schaub. They're all POS politicians or bureaucrats ruining lives.

I’m not going to get into a “guns in the USA” debate.

But I want to say that I agree with @thechosen1 post saying that media coverage of mass shootings is making it worse. I wish they didn’t do that.
My girlfriend used to be a journalist here in Mexico and she said that they just stopped reporting gang killings in a lot of outlets because that's exactly what the gangsters want: attention & glory.

They always roll in the "experts" to shut you up.

Beware of convenient "experts."

Perhaps the most famous study of expert predictions was conducted by a Canadian, Philip Tetlock. At a conference 35 years ago, he listened intently as renowned authorities in their various fields of expertise delivered their reasoned predictions of what would happen going forward. He was struck by how many contradicted each other or were impervious to counter-arguments. His subsequent research involved a twenty-year study of 82,361 prophecies offered up by 284 highly educated and experienced experts about what would unfold in the future.

The result: These highly-credentialed oracles were horrific predictors of what would occur in their specialized domains. Their years of experience and expertise (including, for some, access to government classified information) made no difference in the accuracy of their prognostications. They were bad at short-term predicting and even worse at long-term forecasting. And, as these bona fide authorities amassed even more information supporting their views, they became more dogmatic about them. Like most of us, once a pundit jumps to a conclusion, she’ll either ignore or explain away conflicting evidence – a hard-wired tendency we all possess called confirmation bias.

One of the most infuriating qualities of mine I can admit:

Taking too long to realize the simplest of solutions that have been staring me in the face for the longest time.

Real example:
Someone asks me for a product.
I know someone who builds said products.

Yet it took me over a month to make that connection and introduce them to each other.

When I was first read this quote a number of years ago, I thought it sounded like hippie bullshit.

MJs books made me realise how true it is.

Yes, I can see how this can be perceived as "woo hoo" but when things are stripped down to value, from the simple and mundane, to the complex and important, it's quite elementary. The more people who enjoy your value, the more successful one will be.

It never occurred to me that it could be perceived as woo woo or hippie bullshit. It’s interesting that people might think that way.
Fair enough. I was a money-hungry 18 year old stuck in the BRO Marketing space who had watched The Wolf of Wall Street an unhealthy amount of times, so I took this quote as basically saying "Become Mother Theresa".

I just cancelled my subscription to Door Dash.

Unfortunately everything I order never travels well. Food arrives cold, soggy, or bland. And another thing I noticed that is even more concerning... sometimes the food arrives with ZERO safety protocols in place. We ordered 2 pizzas the other night and they arrived simply in their cardboard boxes. The driver can easily open up the lid and spit on the pizza, sneeze on it, or contaminate it.

Anybody can drive for these services and I can guarantee you, there are no background checks.

Sorry but I view this as a huge security risk, especially in today's climate of "eat the rich", and it doesn't help that my home clearly screams "I'm rich, thanks for delivering my food at minimum wage rates."

While I tip $20 minimum on everything I order (I delivered food years ago so I understand the plight) I don't think a double-tip would sway anyone with this kind of mindset from doing something maliciously.

Both the wife and I didn't feel well after eating our separate pies, and the thought crossed our minds.

Some one bought a house in Reno for for $330k in April, and relisted it for $560k a month later. After 2 weeks they dropped the price by $110k down to $450k. I hope they get their $330k back. It was listed for $250k back in 2020. I guess this is the real estate peak.

Pretty common I've seen across the board. It won't end well.

Seems to me, this was uncalled for and an overreaction to a random post in a random thread. What’s going on in your life MJ? Is everything and everyone ok? No way you are blowing up over a simple YT link like that without some deeper reason / problem.

Not uncalled for, actually warranted.

Nothing is going on in my life, never been happier, or healthier.

This guy has (in multiple posts) posted anti-vegan crap and keeps mentioning how he wants to "save me" and how I'm making a big mistake. Gee thanks bro for being my savior. I'm at zero tolerance to be lectured about my diet at my own forum, especially from young post-pubescent men. I find it on par with the the 21 year old who knows everything about getting rich because he suddenly made $112 from dropshipping, except he lives in his parents attic.

People are welcome to discuss whatever dietary lifestyle they want. I don't mention my dietary choices unless I'm in the requisite plant-based thread, or I'm being asked something, or I'm accosted with ignorance (which the latter seems more frequent)...

There are quite lengthy keto/carnivore threads here and you know what? You don't find me barging in on those threads and giving a lecture, you don't see me posting plant-based videos and screaming at all these young guys, claiming they're dumb fools for thinking such a diet is sustainable over the decades, or better, I'm here to set you guys straight and save you. I'm tired of holding myself to a standard of censorship while everyone runs their mouth.

Bottomline, no one ever cared what I ate for 48 years (even when I was constantly battling some type of sickness) ... until I stopped eating slaughtered animals and breast milk from lactating cows.

Now, suddenly everyone cares what I eat.

It's on par with a bunch of religious zealots who found a target that "needs converting" so my soul can be saved.

They all are very physically active,

This is huge.

I think sitting at a desk 8 hours a day is a huge detriment to anyone, including myself. I just bought a standing treadmill because eating healthy (however anyone defines it) is likely not going to compensate for sitting on my a$$ at a computer most of the day. Working out for 40 minutes as compensation is like thinking I can do something to cancel out the 7 cigarettes I smoked during the day. (No I don't smoke, just hypothetical.)

Since there was a few posts on health and living long I want to share something interesting.
Both my parents are Seventh Day Adventists and are in crazy good shape in their 60s.

My dad used to drink hard but the diet has reversed a lot of his party days over the last 20 years.
When he is around people the same age as himself he looks 20 years younger.

Screenshot 2022-07-28 at 20.39.53.png

I have read before that other than genetics, or living in certain areas, that their diet is the next best thing for living a long and healthy live.

The basic diet is:
- Balance and moderation
- Not too much of anything
- Pure water, fresh air, and sunlight
- Exercise
- Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and mind-altering substances
- A well-balanced vegetarian diet

Its pretty interesting to read up on if you are looking into a diet to have really good health as you get older.

Was on the train to Leeds (UK) from Huddersfield a couple of days ago. Train strikes meant trains were stopping earlier than normal, so the driver was reminding everyone of this fact, adding that if the last train was missed, the ONLY (yes, he emphasised this) way you could get back to Huddersfield was bus or taxi, otherwise you will NOT be able to get back, according to him.

I walked back. Not to save money, as that would have meant I valued my time at £6 an hour! It was only 14 miles, and I love walking, plus doing Kilimanjaro in September so I took it as an opportunity to contribute to my training.

Just amused me though, and a reflection of our society in my opinion, that the concept of walking back wasn’t even thrown into the mix.

Question: do you think being an entrepreneur leads to a longer or shorter life?

Might be a wash, at least for me. Most of the last 20 years of my life have been low stress. But I've also been sitting at a desk an awfully long time. A one hour workout doesn't cancel out 8 hours of sitting, kinda like, one plate of kale doesn't cancel out the 20 donuts you ate earlier.

In fact, I just bought a standing desk and a walking treadmill. Hoping its not too late for me.

Dominos Pizza outsources their phone calls to a foreign call center now. Holy shit I will never listen to my family try to order a pizza for 20 minutes again.

Bad bad bad value skew. Funny I looked it up and saw some reddit posts on it, employees love it (ignoring phone calls in store) and the customers hate it. Read this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Dominos/comments/q938x3 View: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dominos/comments/q938x3/our_store_has_began_outsourcing_calls_to_another/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Nothing says, "our profitability is more important than your satisfaction" than outsourcing fundamental aspects of your business.
