This isn’t specifically Web Design, but it applies to Web Design as well.

One important caveat for this is to make sure you don’t use tools like these as a crutch. The TextExpander app will provide you with a searchable index of all the functions and code you want to save, but ultimately you want that index to be in your brain. But when trying to learn something new or expand your skillset, having a searchable directory is very useful.
