Just wondering if anyone has imported from Japan instead of China, or importing from both?

I have found a website, i'm not sure if I can link it here, but if you have I would love to know what site you use.

Thanks

Are you talking about bringing a product that's popular in Japan over to the states? Or are you just sourcing from Japanese factories?

@Walter Hay might have some insight here.

I don't know of any B2B site for Japanese exports. There are two amateurish sites that claim to be Japnase B2B sites, but I would be wary of using them.

The best suggestion I can make is to contact your local JETRO office. Their original remit was to promote Japanese exports, but they are now more interested in promoting foreign investment in Japan, but they will usually at least point you in the right direction.

Follow this link Meet Japanese Companies with Quality | Japan External Trade Organization - JETRO and you will find a limited number of businesses offering a small product range for export. This is unlike what you might find on most B2B sites. It doesn't have a workable search facility, and making your way through the limited number of possibilities will be laborious.

The only positive is the possibility of finding unique products.

Sorry I'm talking about bringing a product from Japan - not into the States but into Australia since that's where I live!

Thank you @Walter Hay , I had a Japanese product I used to use when I was younger, and I just wanted to see if I could find it and import it.

If you don't mind, what are your thoughts on this website: Superdelivery

The suppliers listed on the Jetro site are almost all genuine manufacturers, and you should have no problem importing their products to Australia.

The great majority of suppliers listed on the Superdelivery site are traders, and I would be surprised if you could buy there at prices that could provide a good margin.
