..... And it probably still made money.
Just an example of how to make an entire community laugh at your product that doesn't help anyone.

The part where he says "Let me tell you folks, it is not a regular paper towel and window cleaner" kills me. They need to remind you that their product is "special"

Bravo to this man. He'll likely make a few grand or more from one video.Publicity is what make's his product sell.Good or bad he's still bringing in customers by making a video about his product.

EDIT:Search google for the term "How to properly clean your gaming computer"

Everything that pops up is more or less linked to that guy or his video.

It could've def been shorter but at least the guy had the balls to put himself out there and go for it. I tip my hat to him for effort. He might hit a grand slam with better marketing/branding.

Actually, the delivery itself was corny, but I wouldn't call the marketing the worst I've ever seen. Wasn't that bad at all.

If it grabs your attention, it's probably a good marketing strategy. For some brands it's good to have that silly and funny image.

the cheesiness was funny. But i think it's the poor editing and dialogue that made me confused.

I think it's very good, knowing the target market. It's clearly corny and stupid on purpose to get shared in that crowd.
You got the Vault Boy as an avatar, you should appreciate the particular brand of humor.
Oh, i thank the guy for minutes of laughter.

EDIT: i still laugh about it

Nobody on the forum (since grumpy cat left) is his target demographic. You have to look at this based on his intended reach.

While I am not a gamer, I can see how this would be good for gamers.

Some of his advice is universal, even for activities that gamers typically do not engage in.

I'll keep this post PG, so I'll simply refer ya to 0:25 - 0:35.

I mean, the guy is right: It's a fact. Dirty gear doesn't perform as well as clean gear.

Who wants "slimy, sticky residue"? That could definitely get you "burned".

Yuck!

:smuggy:

I can't seem to figure out if his intended reach is the older generation (mortal combat references) or younger kids (Power rangers reference and corny jokes)
but other way, I just wanted to share this because i thought it's humorous. Maybe i should change the title

Something is wrong with this guy. He doesn't blink.
as_idontBLINK.png

"I never blink..."

In all seriousness, though, I felt like I just watched some surreal, variety show clip. Surprisingly, those are the types of videos that seem to go viral, I'm sure these guys will make a decent penny off this.

Maybe it was just marketed by a guy who hasn't played games since '92?

You should see the promos on Clash Royale that spawn on my FB. They are even more obnoxious. But well, at least everybody's talking about it.

This is not bad marketing. I actually smell DANGER.

DANGER in the sense that if he were selling actual products, and polished his skills, we might see him on the entrepreneur websites touting a high sales-kill ratio. He grabs attention, no matter how cringy it is, and most people I have seen ever giving presentations are the ones who read off scripts (any idiot could do it) or give outright ridiculous promises with no base of claim.

It's not bad, it's just our psychology tingling, that's all.
