I'm a very serious amateur photographer and most of that kind of stuff can be done by a skilled photographer and makeup artist. A lot of the photos in that clip are just bad to begin with, and lots of photoshop work won't make up for a good shot.

One of the easiest ways to fix the skin problems in that clip is simply by doing a high-key shot (overexposing the skin somewhat so it's not so detailed).
