Phone/Email List of Business Owners?

Craig Simpson is someone I trust, and he has a great resource page up with a lot of educational materials about direct mailing, obtaining lists, etc. Direct Mail Solutions (Look under "lists of vendors" to get what he considers to be reputable sources.)

I've been on his mailing list ever since I purchased the book he co-authored with Brian Kurtz, The Advertising Solution, and I have gotten nothing but insane value and an incredible education from him ever since.

His blog gives a taste of the type of content he writes, but his email list is where he shares the really juicy stuff.

Does anyone have a reputable source to get a phone/email list of business owners? I've seen a couple that have a minimum order of 5000, which comes out to $450. I'm skeptical of half the list being invalid numbers/email addresses.
