Hey it's me, SinisterLex...

I have too many clients, not enough hours, and turn down more by the day.

That means money goes somewhere else and not to me. I don't like it...

So this is an opportunity for those who wanna write copy.

Probably some of you would do it for free, but why when you can earn cash?

So here's the deal...

I will pay you a fixed-rate amount on the 1st day of each month to write for me.

$300 for the first 2 months.

If it goes well and you free up my time I'll raise it to $500 a month.

If it goes well and you free up my time and your writing is good I'll raise it to $1000 a month.

Basically as my money goes up so does yours, plus you get direct on-going feedback from me.

This ensures we both benefit from this exchange.

At first I may send a variety of stuff across industries, but I'm mainly only taking clients in one niche.

It's a good chance to learn stuff I plan to charge others for later on.

There may be other earning opportunities at later dates depending on how involved you want to be.

Here's what you need to know:

This is mostly casual, creative web content copywriting
• You may be asked to write up to 15,000 words in a given month
• Usually it won't be more than 4k to 6k and probably mainly blogs or emails
• Sometimes there may be a sales page, landing page etc.
• You don't have to do much research. I'll send you what you need for each project.
• You will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement
• You will have to sign a non-compete agreement
• You do need to know how to tell a story and how to write to sell
• You do need to be able to write in other voices & styles

Some benefits:

• When you turn a project in I'll give you feedback to help you grow
• You get free (paid) mentoring by someone really really really ridiculously good looking
• You get cash to fund whatever other shit you're working on
• And it's paid up front so you don't have to wait forever
• And if you're on UpWork I can pay the fixed-rate hourly so your profile gets stronger too
• Sorry, I will not cover the 20% fee if you choose to go through Upwork
• But I will do what I can to help you make more money so it's worth your time
• You get actual factual copywriting experience and you'll build portfolio pieces

Absolutely MUST-HAVE requirements or else don't bother...

You must be open to feedback. I know wtf I'm doing and I know how to help you grow.
• Don't waste my time. If you're not ready to make money and grow as a copywriter...don't apply.
• If you don't have time, don't apply. If you can't deliver a 1k word blog post in a day, don't apply.
• If you're stuck on Gary Halbert and have the emotional capacity of a rock, please for the love of god don't apply.
• If you think you know it all, don't apply.
• If your own scaredy cat limitations tend to hold you back, don't apply.

• If you need cash to fund other Fastlane pursuits...DO apply.
• If you want to get paid to learn to write copy...DO apply.
• If you don't mind writing vulgar language sometimes...DO apply.
• If you want to work with me...DO apply.
• If you're ready to take action and step slightly outside your comfort zone...DO apply.

The right person really has a lot of room to grow. Come with an empty cup, ready to fill it up. I'll find new ways to make it worth it for you to stick around should you choose. I don't care if you're brand new or been around the block as long as you perform.

To be considered, please tell me a story.

Write a blog post on what Fastlane Freedom means to you.

Please answer the following questions in your post:

1. What does Fastlane Freedom mean to you and what does your Fastlane lifestyle look like?
2. What do you currently struggle with most?
3. If I could grant you one wish, what would it be?
4. How committed are you to learning to write copy?
5. Why should I choose you?

Please send your story as a .pdf to me at lex@apollyonsfavor.com along with anything else you feel I should consider in my decision. Feel free to post questions here or email those to me too. That's all.

Just do it.

Yours Truly,
SinisterLex

A couple years ago I'd jump on this in a heartbeat. Anyone that's still in the learning phase, and passing this up, is a schmuck.
I almost hired an Upwork freelancer this morning.

She took me through an hour-long interview. Didn't have any real copywriting experience, but seemed trainable. She agreed that the offer was a great deal and the pay was good and all that jazz.

So I sent her a paid test blog for $10. Her response?

I realize this is just a trial project, but a project of this length (1000+ word blog post in the same tone as your own) at $8 is actually an opportunity cost for me.

Though I'm eager to learn new strategies and grow as a writer, I'm reluctant to accept a rate that's less than my province's minimum wage.

And, while this may cause me to descend into your 'shitty freelancers' category, I must decline this offer.

Copywriting is an invaluable skill. I now typically charge close to 5 figures to write sales letters and I'm in ridiculous demand. If there's one skill I'd recommend anyone learn, it's copywriting.

SinisterLex helped me realize the value of copywriting through his threads and if any newbie is reading this thread, I'd take him up on this offer without even second guessing it.

I have worked with @SinisterLex before with copy on some of my sites. If he doesn't want future work I will be happy to hire who he recommends out of this program. Just wanted to add this in so people applying know that there is great opportunity with other fastlaners on here once you put in the ground work.

I advise anyone who is applying for this to follow every single instruction 100%. How you do one thing is how you do everything.

I would like to hear the names of the fastlaners that made the grade AFTER they engage for you. Since we know you are a good judge of this, it would be interesting for the forum to learn who has their shit together.

I normally would have seen this opportunity and thought the person who gets accepted will learn priceless lessons from the mentor, how lucky they are to be in this position. And I would have passed this up, saying I probably wouldn't get selected anyways. The fear of rejection has always held me back in these scenarios.

That is not the case any longer, time to take action and create 'luck' for myself. I will never get selected if I never apply; being rejected is better than not taking action. Application sent!

I'd love for you to teach me how to dig for GOLD, make millions and set myself up for life. Unfortunately, you aren't paying me enough to teach me, therefore, I must decline.

OMG are people FN idiots.

Give up now guys.

My 6th grade English teacher told me I was a good writer. In other words, I've got this locked down.

Hey Lex,
Once I get confirmation from major american tv show I'm going to need roughly 15 seconds of copy (spoken length) that will introduce my company to over 5 million viewers. If you think this is something that could be valuable on your Mentee's resume I can offer you up the job.

No guarantee I'll use it but I'll give you first crack at it.

Send me your rates if you'd like

Thanks Jake, I'll pm you in a bit.

It's really cool to see other Fastlaners adding value where they didn't have to!

This way we all benefit, and the community grows too.

---

To all applicants / potential applicants:

I'm out of town until the end of the week and will start reviewing applications this weekend.

I may not respond to your email unless you have a specific question because there's a lot going on.

If you want in on this there's still time, but get your application in by Sunday at Midnight.

If only I knew how to write copy. Where can I learn to write copy so that I don't miss an opportunity like this in the future?
