I'm just looking for peoples opinions on when to outsource something and when not to...

Here's my situation...
I work in the financial industry and I absolutely hate phoning people and arranging appointments without the people approaching me first. It's a mix of a couple problems I suppose...I worked for a call centre for 3 years and it scarred me for life and I've never been a chatting on the phone person in the first place...I'm a face to face kind of guy. I can walk up to a complete stranger in person and start a conversation at any kind of social event, but when it comes to the phone, I dread it. It's not a skill thing (I was a top performer in sales at the call center I worked at), it's totally a will thing. I'm a very effective sales closer, so I can't really see value in me sitting on the phone listening to dialtone, busy signals and answering machine messages when I could be making sales. One other thing I find, I will spend an evening calling and booking a bunch of appointments, but the clients/propects all book times in the evening, so then all the times when I should be phoning people are filled with appointments, so it's tough to keep the pipeline full.

My question is, should I look at outsourcing my telemarketing to prospects, clients and cold calls? Where do I draw the line on who I should call personally and who should get outsourced?
