Hey dude, it's generally frowned up on to come here and try to poach people for your own ends. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it's innocuous.

Why don't you stay a while, see what the forum has to offer, and contribute what you can? Once you're established, feel free to schedule meetups for people local to NYC. It's quite common and one of the perks of the forum.
