Must Have/Best Tools

I ve spent some time on the forum to find a similar topic in vain.
However, if this already exists let me know
Also, this is my first thread (except my intro), so your pieces of advice on formatting are more than welcome.

Maybe you have experienced it too when it comes to identifying solutions for some aspect of your business you start to drown in an ocean of recommendations and comparisons. Wasting time to browse websites that are most of the time affiliate to an offer (no issue with affiliation as a business but it makes it hard to get a transparent comparison between services).

The objective of this thread is to recommend the tools and solutions you are using:
- For business or personal usage (productivity, invoicing...)
- Please be as objective as possible (be transparent on cons you have identified)

NAME: whimsical.com

CATEGORY: Productivity / Graphic Design

DESCRIPTION: Whimsical's primary function is creating flowcharts and wireframes, but it is possible to create basically any type of graphic or diagram with it. Great to create graphics for business papers and even books.

PRO:

• intuitive, more comfortable than similar software (f.e. MS Powerpoint)
• includes many forms and icons that can be used for illustration
• export as PNG file incl. transparency
• cloud service, can be used on any computer
• allows creating workspaces for team use
• free plan for testing

CONS:

• subscription model (not a fan of it)
• limited in terms of font types & sizes

WHY YOU RECOMMEND IT:
I needed a program to create graphics and diagrams for my book. After testing several programs, I came across whimsical and I love it. You can find some graphics I created with it attached (be aware that transparency is displayed as black background in this forum)

NAME: Jira

CATEGORY: Project Management

DESCRIPTION: Very powerful issue management. Every issue can be discussed separately, issues can be grouped into sprints (aka: what we'll do next week) and it's very easy to see what's assigned to me.

PRO: Trello on steroids

CONS: Takes a moment to get used to. Too expensive for teams over 10 people.

WHY YOU RECOMMEND IT: Been using it for 8+ years and it's a major contributor to my projects going smoothly.
