Hi all,
I'm in touch with someone who's owned a local domain name for almost 15 years now (eg. suburb.com). The suburb/town has over 30,000 people, and 22,000 searches for the name a month on Google. The owner is interested in building a website to promote their own businesses on it and I'm coming back to them with ideas. I was thinking of making a local business directory with their businesses listed as "Premium" or "verified" to get people to trust them and go to the businesses, though that's a long term play with SEO and stuff needed before making any sort of return. Another idea was a blog about the town and just have articles and links (eg. Top 3 tattoo parlours in TOWN) to point to the business.
Anyone have any experience or other ideas with how to make it work?
