Article here: Microsoft invests $1 billion in OpenAI to pursue holy grail of artificial intelligence

So, without getting too into the semantics of "intelligence" and political. I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions on this matter.

I'm aware AI has been discussed in the forums before, but with recent announcements like this one and with Neuralink aiming for human testing to merge AI with the human brain by the end of 2020; I believe this is a topic that is going to have significance in our future.
