Massplanner has been shutdown. What's next for Instagram marketing?

With Instagram starting to shut down popular automated tools that operate on its platform (Instagress, Massplanner etc.), what can we expect for the future of Instagram marketing? To be honest, I am pretty tired of getting followed by an account in hope of a follow back and getting random automated comments. Of course, this kind of stuff won't stop soon but we can see what kind of path Instagram is taking right now.

On another note, people that make a living off Instagram could also greatly suffer from this (commandment of control strikes again).

Long term this can only be a good thing for ecommerce on th platform. The follow unfollow like auto comment menthod has not worked for a while now. By cracking down on this they have a chance to make the platform appealing again to ecommerce business owners who do take the time to build a real targeted organic following.

Instaeasy got shut down today too. But it sort of sucked anyway.

Eventually most of the tools to make it easy to market (or spam) on instagram will fall by the wayside and then people will be forced to manually do it or hire contractors/companies to help them market on the platform and use instagrams paid ad platform...just like any other platform that gets big...they try to kill the 3rd party tools and then force people to pay for marketing through their own ad systems..like how FB as evolved. You used to (still can probably) buy fake/foreign FB likes and build up your account for less than a hundred bucks. Doing that now doesn't work. People just buy the FB like ad campaigns and pay FB all the money instead of using the 3rd party tools that used to exist. The cycle repeats with each new platform that becomes popular.
