Happy Monday Everyone!

I have Episode 43 making its way to your favorite apps. In this episode I answer a PM I had on the forum and also discuss the concept of elitism.

Loved this episode and calling out billionaire hypocrites.

Loved this one... I've been trying for an Accelerator over there called Parallel 18, got shortlisted last year with one of my App ideas but hadn't got the product in the market so didnt make the cut. My mate got in before with a Cinema app. Hopefully this year! Would be awesome to meet up there one day for a chat on political philosophy over a Coconut Mojito! :palm:

I'd love to start building a network there... anyone know of any VA company or Entrepreneur/App groups over there? @Mike Partee @Kak Would it be improper to send Ricky a hello email?

Keep up the Good work... :praise:

Glad you mentioned P18.

It's a GREAT opportunity for startup founders to relocate, and they'll fund it!

There's a pretty vibrant entrepreneur/finance group here. PM me, I'll get you connected.

How long ago did you live there? I am curious what you didn't like!

@Kak; born and raised. I left around 9 years ago, but still keep ties due to family and some projects I want to develop down there in the future, as now I'm an expat and qualify for act 20. Locals don't qualify for these acts and are still taxed around 30% (last I checked), plus the +10% sales tax.

Let's just say everything runs with a certain degree of inefficiency and pessimism that permeates all aspects of life, and the local government likes to 'emotinally' overstep its bounds too much. However, law 20 folks seem to be insulated from much of the local drama.

I think that having the capability of delegating all governmental interactions and being able to travel to and from the island at will, mitigates many of the negatives. Also, it's good to keep a mainland address and ID (can't vote for president and gun laws are horrible). There are some other factors that weigh in on my perspective, but they're based more on personal experience.

It's good to do business THROUGH and FROM Puerto Rico, just not WITH Puerto Rico.

As a side note, PR did have a robust manufacturing an pharmaceutical industry due to tax breaks up until the mid 90s (IRS sec 936). Much of the economy went to sh!t after that ended. But, rumors are that the Trump admin wants to move much of the pharmaceutical production back to the US, and guess what place is supposedly on the short list with all the infrastructure and human capital? An possible economic boom could be on the horizon for PR if this is true.

Thanks to Kyle for the book in the "Subsistence Farming Socialist" giveaway, post #441 in this thread. My answer was "potatoes."

Kyle suggested a leadership book for me: "Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future" which he sent to me.

If you haven't listened to the "Capitalism is the Opposite of Elitism" episode yet, it's #43 and well worth listening to especially if you have any doubt about capitalism in the current age of the hive mind and cancel culture. While you're doing that, I have a book to read.

The 50th Episode is here! I thought it fitting a 50th episode to talk about the failures and disappointments we will endure in order to get from where we are today to where we want to be.

I also announce an AWESOME guest in this episode! The first to post the guest in this thread will get one of his kindle books on me!

Wanted to correct something you said on the show: The US economy hasn't contracted 32%. Those numbers are reported on an annualized basis. The economy has contracted 10% or so total. (Not that that is a small amount, mind you, but we're no where near Great Depression figures (yet))

Take a look at this article for verification of this:

Episode 51 is HERE!

Politicians Aren't "Our Leaders."

Do you ever hear the phrase "our leaders" when someone is talking about politicians? They aren't our leaders, they are supposed to work for us as citizens and even more so for us entrepreneurs and creators of value... Or at least they are supposed to. Join me as I pick at this a little bit and also talk about Trump's new executive orders.

ALSO! Another big guest announcement is enclosed in this episode!

Saving your latest episodes for my Monday work day...

You should also do a "hater" episode, I'm sure you've gotten a few anonymous voice messages saying you suck or something like that.

Fantastic! I am pretty damn stoked that you are tuning in.

Per your second point, surprisingly enough, not at all! Irrespective of the KLaw zombie appearance on the forum and one negative comment on youtube from him in the infancy of the show... I have had a ton of positive feedback.

I am pretty convinced that the professionalism, improvement of quality, guest quality, and amount of work I have put into it, has probably won over many of the would be haters.

Despite a growing listenership, the voice messages have slowed down. I think people are intimidated by it honestly. I wish that wasn't the case because they make great shows. I usually have to talk about getting out of your comfort zone in an episode or two to trigger a few comments now.

Ladies and Gentlemen! I have Episode 54 ready!

I had a chat with Ken Lewis, the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company and one of the, if not the, largest gold and silver bullion dealers in the world. We also get a glimpse into the entrepreneurial story that built the multi-billion dollar company.

Loved the episode with the Rabbi, one of my favorites for sure.

Couple episodes back you mentioned minimum wage again. You should get some socialist on the show and have a debate about minimum wage and "free" health care.
