Day 3

Income from Uber Eats = 94.14
Income from writing assignments = 50

Metrics I hit:

-Wake up before 10 in the morning: I got up about 9:30 this morning. I think after a few weeks or so I'm gonna bump this up to before 9:30.

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Like yesterday, the requests didn't stop unless I made them stop. Made a lot today, and didn't even get any bonuses either. All the bonuses ended today but it didn't really matter.

Metrics I somewhat hit:

-Do physical activity before bed: I just did a bunch of push ups and squats. 100 each.

Metrics I missed:

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Only did one assignment, or a half hour for my latest customer. Which is fine, as I wanted to do streaming anyway.

The stream tonight went alright as far as viewership goes. But it kept malfunctioning since I'm not close to my modem when I stream in my room.

Tomorrow will be dedicated to getting a lot more done on my assignments. I'll start working on them right after I'm done with Uber Eats.

Day 4

Income from Uber Eats = 74.50
Income from writing assignments = 135

Made $200 today! Did a little more work for my new $100/hour customer. I'll do some finishing touches tomorrow.

Metrics I hit:

-Wake up before 10 in the morning: I got up at quarter to 10. Would have been better if I woke up earlier but I'm starting slow.

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Like yesterday, the requests only stopped when I made them stop. These weren't really big deliveries however, but that's alright.

-Do at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: I just barely did 2 assignments. An hour and some change for my new customer and wrote about 1000 words for my current one.

-Physical activity before bed: Hit the weights before doing my assignments.

Something I did was join a membership hosted by John Somnez of Bulldog Mindset. Something I did before hitting the weights and after doing Uber Eats was start taking notes on his business seminars he has in his membership.

It included really good info about how to niche when it comes to content. Something I need to do is make different YouTube channels with different niches. My current channel has content that is way too diverse.

So this is going to be a task for me to do whenever I get some downtime: Make a couple new YouTube channels and make different content for them. Definitely need to do this at some point.

In fact, I will start doing this in as early as a month. Very first thing I need to do is pay off some stuff, get out of this apartment that I'm in, complete the transition from doing Uber Eats and freelance writing assignments to just doing freelance writing assignments then I'll be able to work on my content like crazy.

Income from assignments: 35 (potentially 185, depending on if my work for my latest customer helps him or not; I don't charge for work that doesn't help anyone, not my style)

I'm just not the type to just charge no matter how good or bad my work is, not my style. If my work sucks, I don't want to get paid for it.

I mean if this client DOES like what I did I will charge him. But if he's like "this sucks, change it," I'm only gonna charge for work that he accepts and likes.

Kinda weird I've been doing freelance writing for close to 5 years now and I still feel like I'm a complete noob. It's the kind of thing where I never feel like I know enough. Kind of annoying to deal with tbh.

Very interesting (and applaudable :)). May I ask how do you evaluate whether the client likes your work or not? Do you ask specific questions or do you try to get a feel for it from their response? And, do/would you still let your clients use your writing even if they don't like it, on the basis of "it sucks, but I need some content so I'll use it anyway"?

Sounds good!

I agree, a direct communication is refreshing, and beneficial for both sides. When you're straight from the beginning it sets the stage for all communication that follows, and everyone involved knows exactly what to expect.

Day 1: Decided to take a couple days off. Well, more like "half" days where I didn't do as much stuff as I usually do. And yeah, I did comment on a couple YouTube videos during those half-days. Ugh. However, it was when I was on downtime so I guess it wasn't too bad.

I'm also dicking around on here more than I should. I need to limit myself to this thread and this thread only.

But anyways...

Income from Uber Eats = 69.55
Income from assignments = 40

Metrics I hit:

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats deliveries: Was slow to start but when it got going, I was good until I turned it off. Just a handful of very high-paying deliveries today, just how I like it. One of em paid $20. Had to drive for like 40 minutes to do it though. In between, I worked on assignments for a bit.

-Physical activity before bed: Weights at the weight room, nothing different. I kinda do want to go back to the gym, but still afraid of getting COVID19 again. We'll see.

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Applied to 1 gig, finished 3 assignments (3000 words total, with one assignment being 3000 words). Yeah I hit it hard today.

Metrics I missed:

-Wake up before 10 in the morning: I got up a little bit after. Been doing this the last three or so days too, think I just needed the rest from oversleeping a bit. No excuses starting tomorrow however.

Was supposed to go on a date today but that didn't fall through. Not too mad about it since I was able to hit up these assignments instead.

Haven't heard back from the new, high paying customer yet. He did like my outline but not my script. We'll see if he wants me to do more.

I'm getting closer and closer to ditching Uber Eats. Think I might accelerate ditching it. Was gonna stop Uber Eats by July, but now I'm thinking April. If I get to do continuous work for this new customer, I probably will stop Uber Eats early. But right now I want to take advantage of every opportunity I got.

I created a decent rhythm for myself: Uber Eats until 3 in the afternoon, eat, check emails, relax until a bit after 4, start working on assignments (or take notes on business courses, Bulldog Mindset has a pretty nice business course that I'm currently taking notes on) until 6 or so, work out at 6, take my shower and eat for the 2nd time at about 8, do assignments/apply for gigs until 10 or so. Then eat my final meal and chill the rest of the night; watch some stuff, do some online dating stuff, whatev.

Only thing different is if I run my 5k. I do that a little after 4, since it is still bright and the place I run at is an unlit track around a pond. But when we get daylight savings time I'll be able to do that at 6 again.

Gonna get on stream to "celebrate" Valentine's Day tomorrow. Think I might start doing this every Sunday since it's fun and I have been getting decent views (for my relatively unkown channel, anyways).

Day 2

Income from Uber Eats = 121.12

Metrics I hit:

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: The requests just would not stop. They stopped when I made them stop. I had a really good day doing Uber Eats today, that's for sure.

-Wake up before 10 in the morning: I got up super early, a little after 8. This was because I needed to run some errands before doing Uber Eats.

-Exercise before bed: Ran a 5k. Did a little slower than usual because I cheated a bit on my diet. Still went under a half hour.

Metrics I missed:

-Do at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: I took today to work on my own content. I wrote a sales page for a book that I came out with some time ago, and went on stream to try to promote it. The book is about how I used to be an Incel (oh yeah, I used to be one of THOSE lol) and how I broke out of being one. It's called "Incel to Immortal."

Would be fantastic if Uber Eats is just as good tomorrow as it was today. I'll go hard on assignments right after doing Uber Eats.

Day 3

Income from Uber Eats = 64.93
Income from assignments = 32

Metrics I hit:

-Wake up before 10: I got up at about quarter to 10. The weather has been god awful here and it nearly made me sleep in. Overcast weather sucks.

-Finish at least 2 writing assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Did 2 assignments. Both golf-related too, which was fun because I'm learning about golf. Gonna swap bowling for golf as my fun and profitable sport hobby in a decade or so when I approach my 50s.

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Listened and took notes on more Bulldog Mindset stuff. He mentioned MJ and the Fastlane in one of his presentations, good stuff. I'm actually learning a lot from the course. Might continue the membership even though it is a bit pricey (for my circumstances, anyway).

Metrics I somewhat hit:

-Physical activity before bed: Complex weight room was crowded, so I did push ups and squats using the following video as a guide. Did about 33 in a row in one set, which put me at the "above average" category, good stuff. But it wasn't like hitting the weights or running a 5k. Ehh its whatevs.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRvI2uOgCd0

Word on the street is that its gonna rain all day for the next 3 days where I'm at. If that's true, I might not do Uber Eats and instead finish these assignments and look for more gigs. Would really like to continue this rhythm I'm following, though. It's earning me about $75 to $150 per day which is good.

Haven't heard from the new customer. I'll reach out to him tomorrow.

How much taxes do you pay for those 80$? Maybe you can find a part-time job which pays you more and or is related to your current writing business.

It just an idea and shouldn't give you the feeling of doing something wrong. Since you are the only one who knows what is important for yourself.

Day 4 - NEARLY relapsed but didn't. Started writing out my comment but I deleted it.

Income from Uber Eats = 49.21
Income from writing assignments = 35

Metrics I hit:

Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Uber Eats was weird today. I got requests one after the other but they were long drives. Got paid pretty much $7 per delivery.

Do at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Did 2 assignments and applied to 1 gig, an invite to interview on Upwork. I've been getting these more than usual. Good stuff.

Metrics I missed:

Get up before 10 in the morning: I got up about quarter after. I just did not sleep well. Woke up really early, like 6 in the morning and it took over an hour to get back to sleep. Ugh.

Physical activity before bed: I decided to take a day off since I'm doubling up tomorrow by getting some bowling practice in before running my 5k tomorrow.

I got the go ahead to work a little more for my latest customer. I'll be doing that after Uber Eats tomorrow.

So tomorrow is gonna look like this: Uber Eats until 3, practice bowling for a bit after, do some work for the new customer, 5k, then I gotta make a listing to put my apartment up for sublease since I finally got the paperwork for it.

Next to nothing. For 2019, I paid about $400. But that was with me making about $50 per day. So it'll probably be way higher in 2020, we will see. I'm expecting to pay about $1000 for 2020 considering the stimulus hookups everyone's been getting and me earning a bit more.

Also I live in Florida which has no state taxes, so that helps :D

I'll be honest, I'll take the hit on pay if I can make my own schedule. I did take such a job last year (as a golf cart jockey at my buddy's golf course lol) because I was worried that the stay-at-home lite orders during April and May was gonna take Uber Eats away, but just two shifts a week drained me to where I didn't want to do ANYTHING after work.

The freedom I have of making my own schedule with Uber Eats gives me A LOT more energy to do writing related stuff. It's just how I'm wired. Not using this as an excuse or anything but I know myself too well. I have been more productive over the last two years following my own schedule than in two DECADES of working for the man.

When I was a shift manager at Circle K in my early 30s, the only thing I had energy to do after work was go to the gym or bowl. And I did A LOT of escapism. Porn, 4chan, Social Media, I would just jump on all of those after clocking out. ESPECIALLY 4chan and Manosphere/PUA/Incel communities (they're one in the same; PUAs = Incels leading Incels lol).

There are times where I would spend whole weekends on those; just go to the gym then bounce in between those places in between social media and online dating.

Making my own hours (even with something like Uber Eats) gets me to say "yo. You only have a set amount of time to do the stuff you need to do. Use it wisely. If you're gonna dick around, do it after you've done all your work for the day."

Consider what I've done over the last two years since I started making my own hours:
-Deleted all my social media (except Insta, once a month or something I'll pop in and see if I can slide into the DMs of the college girls I see on Tinder lol; I keep a list of all the insta handles these chicks have then follow/DM them at the end of every month)
-NO more 4chan, PUA, Incel, or manosphere communities. Not ONCE in the last two years.
-I only watch pr0n for like 10 minutes before bed and that's only if I feel like it (usually every three days or so). Back when I was working for the man, I would easily waste 1-2 hours binging it.
-Gaming? Only during downtime. And even then I'm making content from it. Compare this to when I was working for the man, playing 3-4 hours a day to de-stress.

None of this would be possible if I kept working for the man.

Hope this explains things a bit.

Ok, you have some straight points and I appreciate your honesty about your current situation and your idea behind your doings. I will watch your progress and wish you the best!

Day 5

Income from Uber Eats = 82.93
Income from writing assignments = 80

Metrics I hit

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Like usual, the requests didn't stop until I made them stop. Was a good day, too since I ended about an hour early to get bowling practice in. If I went that extra hour I probably would have crossed the $100 mark.

-Wake up before 10 in the morning: Got up super early, a little before 9, but went to sleep super late. Only got about 5 or so hours of sleep. It was so cold that I couldn't fall back asleep. Either way, it didn't affect much.

-Physical activity before bed: Got a massive bowling practice session in, then just went for a walk at a nearby park afterwards. It was too dark for a 5k and I didn't really want to go to the gym. I might get a real 5k tomorrow or something. We'll see.

Metrics I missed:

-Do at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: One hour for my latest customer, but to me that only counts as 1 assignment. Which is fine, today's a half-day anyways.

Tomorrow is my day off/freestyle day. Like I said, I might run a 5k before I go to bowling league or something. That's if weather permits. It's been clear one day, then raining like crazy the next.

Gonna do some YouTube content tonight in a bit. Then tomorrow, I'll make plans for my other niched down YouTube channels. Putting all my content on one channel is pretty dumb tbh.

IMHO : one channel is better, but best to ask the bigger YouTubers in the group. also, I'm sure they would tell you not to rely on youtube only, that's violating the law of control (they could shut you down overnight and you would lose all your income)

Welp, that's a lot of subjects.. you good at all of them?
Or would it pay to focus on one and become an expert?
Yeah I've been thinking about that. Wondering which avenue would be better. I've already decided that my gaming channel will only have live streams that I don't really need to edit. If I want to relax and play video games I may as well stream myself doing it.

The other stuff that is related to my hobbies and interests? I DO want to make content on that for fun but again that's only if I have downtime and I want to spend it a little better by making content.

Day 1: Took a few days off but I'm back on it now.

Income from Uber Eats = 39.33
Income from writing/editing assignments = 80

Metrics I hit:

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Uber Eats was busy today. The requests didn't stop until I made them stop. Didn't really do too much anyways since there was a bowling tournament this afternoon that I wanted to bowl at.

-Do physical activity before bed: Bowling in the tournament was my physical activity of choice.

-Wake up before 10 in the morning: I got up at about 9:30 or so.

Metrics I missed:

-Do at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: I did just one assignment. Still trying to get back into a good rhythm after the time off from driving and writing that I took.

I did a whole bunch of streaming on my YouTube channel yesterday, just to see what would happen and to give myself a bit of a break from driving and writing. Went pretty well, as it was hosted on another channel which improved the viewership for a bit. I also gained a few followers to my channel because of it.

Only did Uber Eats for a little over a couple hours today, but that was only because I had to bowl. I got KO'd after advancing pretty early, losing to a 260 in the round of 32. Worked on some assignments while watching the rest of the tournament.

My "medium" paying customer has started to assign some more stuff to me. My lower paying one now wants me to do extra stuff for them. I'm going to pass them on to one of my buddies who wants to do freelance writing as a result. I don't have time to do extra stuff for someone who is already not paying me what I believe I am worth. So someone else is going to need to do this.

I'll return to my original rhythm tomorrow.

Oh yeah I finally got someone to take over my lease at so I'll be in a much better and less noisy environment to work in come March. Nice.

Day 2

Income, Uber Eats = 61.67
Income, assignments = 75

Metrics I hit:

Productive stuff in between Uber Eats requests: Only had one little dead period, but that was it. In that dead period, I just refilled some water and turned my laptop on before getting sent out for more deliveries. So it was pretty busy. Lots of little deliveries though.

Physical activity before bed: 100 push ups and 100 squats. Weight room was crowded so I couldn't go there. 5k will be tomorrow.

Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Applied to 1 gig (which had insultingly low pay, $1.50 for 300 words, NO. But I DID get some more Upwork points to play with because I humored them) and did 2 assignments. I did them wrong because I got too creative, but they got done lol. The customer very politely told me that I got too creative, and I'll fix what I did tomorrow. I also won't charge the customer for what I did today, only what I will do tomorrow.

Metrics I missed:

Wake up before 10 in the morning: I got up at about 5 after 10. For some reason, I really wanted to sleep in. Won't be like that tomorrow.

Now I definitely need to do less Uber Eats. Gas has gone up like a quarter in a week here. I blinked and it was a quarter more per gallon. Insane. I'm predicting it'll be about $3 by my birthday (when summer begins) and maybe even $4 by the end of the year. I'm done with Uber Eats (and owning a car in general) by then.

More of the same tomorrow.

What would happen if instead of waking up around 9, you woke up at 6 or 7, and instead of doing 4-5 hours of Uber eats, you did it for at least 8 hours a couple days?

You could probably make over $200 per day, and pay off ALL of your debt rather quickly. That would explode your potential opportunities.

You could get a car and add Uber driving into the mix, too. Figure out what’s in demand in your area.

You’re doing great and it sounds like the writing is taking off. But it seems to me you could be making far more money and still get just as much writing done.

... and making more money would help a lot

do you look at your phone right he before sleeping?
No. The only thing I do is do some swiping on Tinder but that's like 2 or so hours before going to sleep.

I do fall asleep to watching stuff on YouTube, however. It is nearly impossible for me to fall asleep in total silence. Can do it once I have been asleep for awhile but I usually need something that can lull me to sleep.

Caffeine really sticks with you longer than people think (and I do love coffee).
Oh yeah, that is definitely true. I only really drink soda when it's there; it isn't like I have gallons of it in my fridge. But yeah I do find that if I drink some soda I'll stay up a little longer than I want to. Either way, 2 in the morning until 9 in the morning seems to be the sweet spot for me when it comes to rest.

Day 0 - Relapsed by commenting on wrestling stuff. Ugh. But it didn't distract me completely, still did a lot of work. If it's any consolation, this was after I did all my assignments. Still not cool.

Income, Uber Eats = 34.86
Income, assignments = 120

Metrics I hit:

Wake up before 10: I got up about quarter to 10. Wanted earlier, but my body just said no. Maybe I need to sleep even longer? I'm pretty sure 7 hours is enough. Maybe I need to trim it to 5 again. Or up it to 10. Who the hell knows. I've always hated sleeping; its the one thing in my life that is never consistent for me.

Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Uber Eats was ridiculously slow today. I was able to finish an assignment while waiting.

Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: 1 gig, THREE assignments today.

Physical activity before bed: 5k. Decent time, too, 28:35. Not bad for someone who is still kinda overweight.

I'm going to try to get up really early tomorrow, but chances are good that I'm gonna need something that will wake me up. Won't be anything like a monster energy drink, though. Those are dangerous. Maybe a soda. We'll see.

Had a date tomorrow but it got cancelled. Good. More work I can do. I was actually going to get a serious bowling practice session in tomorrow before subbing for one of my buddies in his league. There's some stuff I want to work on. But after that, I'll get to work.

I promise that if you get on a more consistent sleep schedule, you will see your success explode 10x.

Just make yourself go to bed earlier when you aren’t tired. Set an alarm to wake up. It really works!
I gave up on alarms 2 years ago. They gave me anxiety and made me sleep more. Would hit the snooze button no less than 15 times, causing me to oversleep by hours.

No kidding, I would often drag my sleep to as long as 12 hours by using alarms.

I think if I just get out of bed and start doing something, anything, I'll be alright. Even if it's something dumb, like play video games for a half hour or something.

But yes, I definitely need a more consistent sleep schedule. But I just really hate sleeping. It sucks. There's so much stuff I want to do and I'm not young enough to pull all nighters anymore.

Day 0: Screwed around in this very board...for about a half-hour too. The thread was about someone who I think just received $1000 out of thin air or something. Someone wrote about how useless he thought public libraries are and it just sent me to go on similar rants.

Not a good move. I was already stressed out from a few things about the new place I'm moving to anyways so that's why I went into that thread.

Anyways:

Income, Uber Eats = 60.98
Income, assignments = 35

Metrics I hit:

Wake up before 10 in the morning: I annihilated this. Got up right when the sun came up, 7:30. Started by "rewarding" myself by playing some video games while starting my laundry. As soon as I put my clothes in the dryer, I fired up Uber Eats. That was at about 8:30.

Productive activity in between Uber Eats requests: The requests didn't stop until I made them stop, but they weren't too lucrative. I would finish up one order, get halfway back to my apartment, then get another request. So there was a longer cooldown between requests than usual.

Physical activity before bed: Bowling practice followed by bowling league. My bowling has sucked really bad as of late and there are a few things that I need to fix.

Metrics I missed:

Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: I got like half of one assignment done, wasn't really feeling it after practice. That said, I am pretty much caught up on assignments for now so I'm alright when it comes to this.

Sooooo somebody agreed to take over the lease of my apartment, and I'll be moving into my buddy's place tomorrow. Needed to pay him as well as my last month's rent which is quite a bit lol. Don't know why but that stressed me out and caused me to slack off haha.

Tomorrow's actually going to be a pretty busy day. Got a date in the afternoon, then I'll start moving into my buddy's place before league. I'll do all I can to knock out the assignment that I got halfway done with tomorrow during the day as well.

It'll be nice to be in a less noisy side of town living with only one person instead of three.

Income, Uber Eats = 43.99
Income, assignments = 50

Metrics I hit:

-Physical activity before bed: Paused push ups and squats. Apartment complex changed management AGAIN (only 6 months before they changed this time, that has to be a record lol) so they changed the code to the weight room. I'll harass them about it tomorrow. Things weren't like this when I moved in 2 years ago. I'm so done with this complex.

Metrics I somewhat hit:

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Uber Eats was super slow today. Had only 5 or so high paying deliveries that took me all the way across town, but a lot of time passed in between requests. So I guess I was just driving around in between requests. Meh.

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Did 1 assignment and wrote in my blog a ton. Does that count as an assignment? Maybe. That's why this metric was "somewhat" hit.

Metrics I missed:

-Wake up before 8:30 in the morning: I changed this because now I know my days need to end earlier so I can get out of the way of all the kids who live with me but I missed this by two whole hours today. Got up at 10:30, damn.

Soooo I bowled yesterday which was why I didn't check in, wound up winning $80 ($85 in, $165 out). Was like 20 pins away from making an additional $60 for coming in 3rd, but I'll be alright with 4th place. Cashing in the tournament also got me a bid to their end of the year tournament in August where I can get even more prize money. Very nice.

I'll use the prize money to get a new phone which should be in stock any day now. I'll start working on assignments more dilligently tomorrow since I'll be done blogging. Can't forget about updating my blog, even if I'm just writing "fun" stuff. Cuz it gets me more motivated to do assignments.

Day 1

Income, Uber Eats = 97.53
Income, assignments = 10

Metrics I hit:

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Was a nice day today. Once they started, they didn't stop. Lots of high-ticket requests, my favorite kind. Must have gotten paid about $11 or so per delivery, nice. Got a $11 tip for one of em.

-Physical activity before bed: About to go to the gym right after doing this. Just gonna go to the gym now, forget the one at my complex. I'll be alright.

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Applied to 3 gigs and did 1 assignment. So I combined the two a bit. Also finished writing in my blog.

Metrics I missed:

-Wake up before 8:30 in the morning: I got up at 9:30. Spent a lot more time last night than I wanted watching stuff before bed. No bueno, I'll make it right tonight.

Doing my cheap assignments is starting to be something I actively don't like doing. I keep agonizing about passing it onto others, but I feel too responsible for it, as if I'll be doing my customer wrong.

I'll come to a solid decision about whether I want to do this or not by Friday. Probably will, since it is getting in the way of doing other stuff like looking for much higher paying customers.

Day 2

Income, Uber Eats = 70.58

Metrics I hit:

-Wake up before 8:30: I got up right at 8:30. Hopefully I'll be able to continue doing this. It didn't make me any more or less productive but it will in the long run.

-Physical activity before bed: Ran a 5k, but it wasn't as good as usual because it was really cold, windy, and humid outside.

Metrics I missed:

-Do productive things between Uber Eats requests: One thing that messes with me when I get up early is that I don't want to do any writing related tasks. It took about an hour before my first Uber Eats delivery and while waiting I just dicked around on online dating stuff. My discipline/motivation is NOT high when it is early. Seems to be at its best from 6 in the evening until 10 or so.

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Didn't do either, but today is a "half" day in that I usually just do Uber Eats, go for my run, then take the rest of the day off to clear my head and relax. I did update a lot of the metrics I keep in my journal since it is a new month.

I'm taking the entire day off tomorrow so I can plan the rest of the month. There are a few things I want to do and need to do before I take my first vacation of the year which is going to be the last few days of the month. So I'll do all that planning tomorrow.

Day 0: Commented on a couple youtube videos yesterday which was my day off but still. Not cool.

I want to try to go until the end of the month without commenting on anything except posting in this very thread. That includes this board itself. If I can't do this, I'm not going on my vacation at the end of the month.

Anyways...

Income, Uber Eats = 35.18
Income, assignments = 50

Metrics I hit:

-Physical activity before bed: 5k. So now I want to run a 5k every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Today's time was a little rough, just under a half hour.

-Be productive in between Uber Eats requests: I started my day late but once I turned Uber Eats on, I was getting requests pretty steadily.

Metrics I missed:

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Didn't do these because I just wanted to do some Uber Eats and relax a bit. I just edited 1 assignment. But I'll get back on track tomorrow since I'll be a lot better rested.

-Wake up before 8:30: haha, nope. Got up right before noon lol. But that was intentional, meant to do it. I pretty much start the day whenever I want on Fridays.

Might travel to bowl again on Sunday, and only doing so because my doubles partner agreed to pay for everything. Gonna start doing Uber Eats for a little longer now, at least for days that I'm not running a 5k. Now that I'm running short on high paying assignments to do, I'll need to make up for it.

This also means I'll need to apply to gigs a lot as well, which is never a problem. I'll get on all that starting tomorrow.

Day 1

Income, Uber Eats = 88.38
Income, assignments = 15

Metrics I hit:

-Be productive during Uber Eats requests: I did Uber Eats for a little longer today, until 6 in the evening instead of 3 of the afternoon. There was a bit of a wait time in between requests that was spent with me driving around, and I just stopped for a food break.

-Physical activity before bed: Went for a few walks in between Uber Eats requests when it was really slow, then just did some push ups and squats since the gym was closed.

Metrics I missed:

-Wake up before 8:30 in the morning: Not a chance, even WITH me going to sleep early. I just overslept instead. I must have slept for close to 12 hours, unbelievable.

-Do at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Only one assignment today.

I legitimately have no idea what I need to do to wake up earlier consistently. There are some times where I can do it but no matter how early or late I go to bed, I'll sleep in.

Maybe it's the really weird relationship I have with sleep. I dislike it but my body apparently likes it way too much. I don't know. It's a mystery to me and I don't know what to do about it. My inconsistent sleeping patterns are easily the most frustrating thing that I'm dealing with right now.

If most common sleep advice (e.g. no phones an hour before bed, no coffee after noon, phone in different room, wake up at the same time everyday and don't hit snooze, dark quiet and cool room, etc) doesn't work for you, consider buying a Fitbit. They can do sleep tracking and might give you insights into sleep information you may be unaware of, such as periods of awakening during the night that you may not remember in the morning, or blood oxygen variations that may be caused by something like sleep apnea. For a more hardcore alternative you could take part in a sleep study where you sleep in a lab and the techs stick on ECG and EEG probes and monitor you all night.

Yeah I was eyeballing one of those, planning to get one whether it was sleep related or not.

Something else I wanted to get was something called an Oura Ring, which tracks the same kinds of stuff.

Might do that too, but the anxiety I would experience doing that might prevent me from sleeping at all haha.

Day 2

Income, Uber Eats = 129.39
Income, assignments = 15

Metrics I hit:

-Do productive things in between Uber Eats requests: Uber Eats was out of this world today. The requests would stop until I made them stop and I didn't make them stop until a few hours ago.

-Physical activity before bed: Did some uphill walking at the cardio room at my complex. Was at the weight room but then a few of my neighbors showed up and I prefer using those rooms by myself. Has nothing to do with COVID it's just a preference.

Metrics I missed:

-Wake up before 8:30 = A little closer this time, 9:30. I've come to conclude that this is just a willpower thing. I just need to say to myself, when the clock strikes 8:30, that I need to start my day. It'll turn into a habit at some point. Also this is just temporary. As soon as I'm able to live alone again, I'll be able to do what I am comfortable doing: Start my day at 10 in the morning and end it at 1 in the morning. I'm only altering my schedule because of the people I live with, who tend to use the living room (where I do most of my work) at around 9 or so.

-Finish at least 2 assignments or apply to at least 5 gigs: Only 1 assignment today, but that was only because I went for length on Uber Eats. Won't be like that tomorrow.

I'll stop Uber Eats at 3 in the afternoon tomorrow, but only because I want to run a 5k before it gets dark. Otherwise, it'll be the same as usual.
