I've found 48 domains (Unregistered) that could sell for $104k. They are ALL food/nutrition domains with high search traffic and high CPCs. What do I do? They are mostly all .com on anything from calories, pizza, lasagna, pies, steaks, alcohol, and types of pizza. The highest valued one is $15,700. What do you guys suggest?

If you're looking for short term profits - sell them if they fetch a good value. If you want regular income for the long term and you're ready to do a bit of work, develop the domains and rank them.

If they are not registered in 2014, they are probably worthless... The exception are brandable domains, but they are also worthless by themselves..

LOL. If there was such demand for those domains, why would they be unregistered?

Buy one and try to sell it.

If it works, do it again.

If you want to get that kind of money out if it, then you'll probably need to find new ways to reach the right people.

You have 48 possible brandable domains/products sitting in your lap. Go through each one and see if you can figure out a need with the domain name, test it, work hard, profit.

Domain names that aren't registered in 2014 usually means they're unsellable. Believe me, I wasted a year of my life once trying to buy domain names and flip them. Stupid Youtube Marketer that took advantage of my young, fragile mind =( lol

I don't get why people advise this.

Why not work on a viable business idea first, then find a domain name for it, rather than limit yourself to something to do with one of the available domains?

I just found 48 domains that I can sell for $104k
What should I do?

o_O

If you really think you could sell just one of them for over $15k, why wouldn't you just buy it and try to sell it?

It's like $5 dude.

listen closely - here is the right way to do it.....

closer...

Try it, and see what happens. Find out if you are wrong. Learn from it.

They aren't worth anything if available as mentioned.

Those sites you are running them through are not a good gauge of value what so ever.

But if you believe in it, go ahead and blow the cash, good luck.

What should I do? I want to do it the RIGHT Way, I was hoping for suggestions.

If you really think they are worth that much, start by registering them then advertise them on sites like flippa, sedo, buydomains etc.

Note that exact match domain names went down a lot in value the last couple years since Google doesn't give them much ranking boost anymore.

Just as an FYI - never use estibot or any of those other "Valuation" domain tools - they are worthless.

Sedo has an ok domain evaluator and even that is pushing it. For example, I own comic[.]co and it gives me an estimate of 1k-1,999k which could potentially be confirmed - if I ever choose to sell it haha. Again as mentioned above, it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Just be careful if you decide to continue. Have validations to ensure that those traffics are legit (not sure how to do that though, maybe some ppl here can help you out for that :) ).

If you already have a niche, find a need, build a site using one of the 48 sites (choose one that has the same niche as yours) that already has traffic, provide valuable content, build a list and then have a way to monetize it. Just my 2 cents. :)

What kind of suggestions are you looking for?

If you really found 48 unregistered domains you could sell for $104,000, you wouldn't be asking for suggestions. The very fact that you're asking what to do while offering no relevant details that could be used to evaluate your deal means that:

1) you don't have any experience domaining
2) you're basing your valuation solely on estibot or a similar site

So the only logical suggestion based on what you posted so far is that you shouldn't buy. Best case scenario you lose $480 in registration fees. Worst case scenario you lose $480 + time, energy & more money trying to market worthless domains.

Alternatively, buy the one you think is worth $15k and run an auction on Flippa. You'll find out quickly if you're right or not, and you'll be out less than $20 if you're wrong.
