Serious question - anyone deduct their TMF INSIDERS membership as a business expense? I'd like to think it could qualify as "maintaining or improving your job skills", particularly if you're on the inside actually furthering your business (with the posts and interaction to show for it).

And to be clear I'm not trying to pinch pennies here. It's the principle of the matter - if Uncle Sam allows me to keep it than I intend to, and since I'm itemizing anyway might as well add it.

File it under "training" business expense.

I don't think I would, although I am yet to subscribe to INSIDERS.
Viperion Corporation or MJ aren't in business partnerships or connections with you. Besides, it is not as if you can use INSIDERS material for mass- staff training to justify the expense!

But I don't think INSIDERS is that high-ticket to have the company pay for it...a three months trial costs like...the price of two cups of coffee???

I believe "continuing education" is tax deductible. Perhaps @CareCPA can confirm?

So my non-accountant self says, if you joined to learn, it is. If you joined to post memes, it isn't. ;)
